Bit of drizzle here but it's stopped now.

My next door neighbour in the big house that own the wood was walking past last night. He is colour blind and can only see blue. He is 95, he had a cataract operation recently and he says that now he has better colour vision than when he was young.

I gave him a couple of spare Salvia patens. Now he just has to get them past his wife.image

There are very few true blues in the garden. He sees cichorium as a pale blue though I see it as purply blue. I think most blues have some purple in. My blue poppy this year was violetimage

Clari - what a lovely day - engagement, roses and hedgehog - days don't come much better than that image

Fidget, colour is so interesting.  Obviously studying it was part of my art degree and I found it fascinating.  So much of it is subjective and relative - and I know OH has a degree of colour-blindness - he used to call my green skirt brown - but he absolutely denies it. image

Morning all.  Dry here at the moment but the sky is full of dark clouds so looks as though I will get something done inside todayimage

Sorry to hear about your garden Daisy.  It's upsetting when you have tried to get everything so nice and it gets spoiled.

When you've told the immediate family and friends Clari you can shout it from the rooftopsimage

I know your blue poppy was violet fidget - mine was white (not that I'm going on about it)imageimage

I've bought three plants of lingholm variety. Fingers crossed for next year.

Thanks Lesley and KEF and all.  As it's raining here now and is forecast to rain all day, I suspect my garden will be left alone.  I'm going to try not to get paranoid.  Anyway there's much nicer things to think about, Clari's Lavender, and Punkdoc wading through Glastonbury, and cake....
