Another example of an Englishmans  fair play, as you say, an example to the world.

  • And please everyone - remember to leave enough leaves out to dry in the garden so that Hefty's pals can make their hibernaculums!  image

I'm still sad about the Scotland vote, I love being part of a United Kingdom and whatever happens there are going to be a lot of upset people out there and a lot of money spent.  Oh I forgot thats what always happens when politicians are involved.

A bit dull here today but I think it will burn off and brighten up later.  According to the Beeb there isnt going to be any rain here for the next 10 days.  The soil is really dry  down to about 8" (planted bulbs yesterday).

I'm aching all over after yesterdays planting and shed painting but I think it was worth it the shed looks much better now and next doors extension isnt quite so overpowering.  I'm thinking of painting the grandaughters play house to match (at the moment its an awful orange stain colour).  I think it may have to wait a while till aches and pains subside.  So far its took two cups of tea and two Anadin Extra to get me moving (other painkillers are available).

I'm going to plant up some more bulbs, in pots this time so less bending involved.  I've got about 200 Alliums winging their way to me as we speak to I think I need to continue the training for the main event.  Off for a mooch around.

Bekkie my nails were lovely on holiday all long and pink.  It took about 24 hours for them to become broken and dirty. Ah well back to normality.

No chance, unfortunately I made too good a job of the shed and hubby has suggested I have a go at the bathroom.  I knew I shouldn't have broken my golden rule. I usually make a hash of painting and hubby then takes over to put the problem right and finish the task.  It's worked for 40 years and I go and ruin all that hard work.image

I really want it to rain just one good downpour, preferably overnight the garden could really do with it.  Are you back at the salt mines now Bekkie.
