Just logging back in briefly, too tired now to post much. Finished my gardening project at last, it's taken the last 3 days to do. OH had to help lift the heavy rectangular slab into place on top of the mortar, whilst I did the 3 smaller slabs. I like to recycle garden stuff as much as I can as they were all different sizes/depths - difficult. Anyway it's in an out of the way corner which we won't use much but makes it much safer for access.

Hoping to visit poorly brother in the next few days, it's his birthday today so he's made it this far. He's back at home and has to have a hospital bed which is being organised, as is the care package. He had a fall yesterday so the cardiac nurse called in.

    Have a good weekend folks.

I’m in God’s own county @Bilje, so not too far from you by the sound of things. 😁

The Pavlova turned into an Eton Mess in the end. It was firmly stuck onto the non stick foil. The guests ate it all. I served it in pretty glasses. We had a good afternoon.

Morning everyone and welcome Bilje. I live in south eastern Australia which explains my time difference.  I’m still a gardener, but it’s all on the iPad now since I’ve been a bit lacking in energy recently. (Since Covid 18 months ago).

My husband is now acting housewife. 😳👏

    best wishes to everybody.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
It’s a beautiful spring morning … 7C and a milky blue sky … house sparrows are flittering about on the roof opposite, and I can hear jackdaws chattering …  and my coffee has arrived 😃

… and now I can hear a buzzard calling …

Not here, @Dovefromabove, it’s grey and threatening, but I want to mulch the roses before the rugby. I always thought I didn’t much like roses, but counting them yesterday I found I had 13, so I suppose I must like them a little.

Some plants sort of sneak up on you @punkdoc … and there’s a much wider selection of types and flower forms nowadays than with the mainly HT roses that were around in our youth. 😊

    Morning all.
    The sun is shining here.

I love roses. I had 3 when I bought my house in France. Now there are 44. I've planted 13 more in Norfolk, there were 7.

Handyman G has come to replace the front garden path.

I'm still lying in bed, reading my book, having had coffee. My back is comfy in bed but I should get up and not waste the day. I can hear G being very busy outside.

This afternoon I'm going to make posies for the Mothering Sunday service.

Glad your back is comfier @Busy-Lizzie … don’t overdo it. Hopefully it’ll be a lovely weekend for Mothering Sunday … I’m not a churchgoer any more, but I was … and I do miss the music and the traditional liturgy, and the pattern of the church year. Enjoy making the posies. 😊
