    Hi all

I seem to have caught your cold, @Dovefromabove, we must stop snogging.

Seeing the surgeon today, when I expect to be discharged. This hip has been more of a problem than the first one, and I still have some pain, but I am getting there.

Morning all and welcome @Bilje. nice to have somebody new join the Forum.

Sunny again today so off out into the garden to hopefully finish off my garden project - got cement to mix and paving stones to lay!

Catch up later with what's been going on with you all.

In your dreamsĀ @punkdoc .... at least that proves you've been sleeping wellĀ  :DĀ  <3 Ā ((hug))

Hope he (she?) is happy with you ... more to the point ... hope you've been following Nurse's Orders! Ā Don't give the lurgy to the surgeon!!! Ā (or to Moira!!!)

Unusually for me I'm posting on my MacBook at the moment and it doesn't have the range of emojis that I'm used to on my iPhone ... or at least I don't know where to find them ... I'm using the MacBook cos I've been doing a huge Sainsbugs shop as I don't have a car at the moment ... we'll have to live out of the freezer until they deliver on Sunday ... Steak & Kidney pie today ... I cooked the beef skirt and ox kidney in the slow cooker yesterday so I've just got the pastry to make this morning. Ā  I must also make some bread today, but we're a bit low on strong white flour so it'll have a higher proportion of wholemeal than usual ...Ā

OH has caught it @Busy-Lizzie but apart from a bit of a stuffed up head he is not really suffering so far. Ā Son is much more congested and is getting through loads and loads of tissues ...Ā

Morning folks and welcome @Bilje šŸ‘‹šŸ¼Ā

Coming to the end of my week off… I’ve accomplished quite a bit from my ā€˜list’ of life admin. I was very overdue an eye test and new specs so that’s another job done. I watch quite a few programmes that have subtitles like Nordic noirs and some Welsh tv (my Welsh is very entry-level so I need the translation) so no more squinting at those for me.Ā

Take care all, whatever you are up too today.Ā

Loved your story @AnnaB - good to see children really engaged.Ā  Glad your cold is easing off @Dovefromabove.Ā  So many people have it; we never have a full complement of people at any meeting lately because of it.Ā  Good luck with the car - and getting back to the farm shop!
    Welcome @Bilje!
The new dishwasher isn't working.Ā  Contacted chap who put it in and he thinks the tube at the back might be kinked.Ā  He's coming first thing on Monday.Ā

Hello all and welcome @Bilje, I'm down in south SW France close to the Pyrenees, the weather at the moment is very similar to the UK.... much rain and sunny intervals.
We are just back from the mower repair place, it seems that our old ride on mower is now defunct, a piece underneath has sheared off and cannot be replaced. The strimmer wasn't working either so they mended that! I'm just glad the washing machine is behaving itself at the moment!
I haven't finished pruning the roses yet or dividing the Hemerocallis that don't die back in the winter.Ā
I hope those with colds and backs etc continue to improve, it's so easy to overdo it at this time of year!

Happy Women’s Day, our mimosa has already finished flowering.Ā
Welcome, @Bilje! Sorry to hear of all the creaky backs and snuffly noses, hope everyone recovers soon. OH is suffering from pains in his feet, but is resisting booking an appointment to get them looked at. Meant we had a very slow walk on the seafront this morning, but the wind was so strong and cold that we’d have had problems trying to walk any faster anyway!Ā

Good afternoon everyone and ā€œhelloā€ to @Bilje.

We went out for lunch today and enjoyed some very tasty fish and chips at our nearby GC. This means I don’t need to think too hard about what to have tonight - Ā a sandwich will do later if we feel peckish.

It’s been very chilly today, with a keen northerly breeze - too chilly to do any gardening.

Hope all went well at the hospital today @punkdoc.

@Red maplejust practicing how to include posters name haha. That said I was wondering in what area you live as your weather today feels like mine . Here in theNE of England we’re famous for loving fish n chips, you’ve made my mouth water. Very chilly here too, it got colder as the day moved on. Apparently 6C feeling like 3C. I’m starting dahlia potting tomorrow but might end up sheltering in the garage to do it.Ā
