Harrumph! Ā I’ve got the locations of several friends’ on my weather app …, they all show a amount Moderate Weather Warning for rain …except for @Hostafan1 ā€˜s part of Devon where it says ā€˜drizzle stopping in 8 minutes’. What’s he done to deserve favourable treatment?!?! 😲

    Morning all

Look at the average rain fall for Luxembourg and you will be grateful of Norfolk weather Dove šŸ˜„

@AnnaB do talk to us, that's what we are here for.Ā

I have started my low iodine diet in prep for the scan Friday week. The blasted thing is in almost everything and I have a job here to find non iodised salt which I have been using since the op. So roast chicken and spuds today šŸ˜‹, we will have to eat early as OH has a music workshop at 2.

My Osmanthus order is on its way, something to look forward to.

    Have a good Sunday.

@punkdoc and anybody else with sleep probs - could blue light (from screens etc) be playing a part do you think?

Morning all, well it's dry here, just about but foggy on the hills opposite. I feel a bit tired today after my gardening exertions yesterday so will take it easier. OH has just gone off to get some bread, batons and the paper as his friend will be here for lunch unexpectedly. We don't eat bread as we have Ryvitas for lunch, although I usually keep a small loaf in the freezer.Ā

Yesterday I took a short rake down with me as our country lane keeps getting flooded right across a dip in the road and it's more than ankle deep so a welly only job. Cleared the mud/leaves off the drains both sides but they were absolutely full to the brim of water so not draining at all. Trouble is the single track lane leads to a farm, the tractor squashes the verges and then the mud is washed into the drains. I left the rake on the verge and picked it up on my way home, thought it would look odd if I walked into the paper shop with it!

I ought to do some h/w today and finish the ironing as a busy week ahead, OH's friend today and maybe overnight, my sister ditto tomorrow night and then my daughter arrives on Tuesday for a few days. The washing machine is going to be busy!

Can't believe you've got sunshine @AuntyRach, you're having us on.

Enjoy your Sunday folks, whatever you're doing.

Are you able to have a word with your neighbour's g'son @Badly_Maintained?Ā  Or the daughter who lives nearby?Ā  You are understandably worried about your neighbour and can see a decline in her health, but all you can do is keep an eye and inform her nearest and dearest if she has a fall or anything like that while you are watching.

Glad you got most of the violas planted @Busy-Lizzie, and I know you will enjoy your day at Peter Beales.

It would be hard for you to try and come of the sleeping tablets @punkdoc and I wouldn't do it at the moment while you are still recovering from your op/feeling a bit depressed and all round general grot.Ā  But when you feel a bit stronger you should have another go.Ā  But you don't need me, or anyone, to tell you that.

@AnnaB - your get up and go and got up and gone!Ā  Perhaps you ought to see your doctor if you can't even get the energy to get in the car.Ā Ā

Rain here too, but the marshes opposite are not as flooded as they were.Ā  I'm having a lazy day today.

  • Afternoon all.
I hope your Peter Beales workshop tomorrow will be very enjoyable.Ā  It certainly sounds very interesting @Busy-Lizzie .
My best wishes to you @AnnaBĀ  I hope better days lie ahead for you.
Continued (and continuing) best wishes to @punkdoc

I have found out that there is a minibus which goes around the village collecting people rich in years and taking them to the village community centre for a subsidized hot meal, letting them enjoy each other's company all afternoon, and then bringing them back to their homes late in the afternoon.Ā  I'm not sure who organises this, or whether it is one day a week or five days a week; but I have suggested attending this to my neighbour, and she seems to be happy about this.Ā  When I find out who it is I need to ring I will put her name down for the minibus to collect her.

I am very much hoping that her confusion clears @Lizzie27 .Ā  It would be great if she could be back driving again and be able to go where she wanted, when she wanted, again.
I certainly will have a word with her Grandson and Daughter @didyw .Ā  My neighbour deserves more of their care and attention I think.

On a happier note, today is a remarkably pleasant day for February.Ā  Light winds, some sunshine, surprisingly mild.Ā  Yesterday's fog and rain are just a memory now.Ā  Best wishes to all, as always.

Afternoon everyone. A lot of rain here overnight too, in fact we have a mini flood at the bottom of the garden,Ā  the soakaway is obviously full up!!
I haveĀ  been having some disturbed nights with this elbow/arm problems,Ā  but nothing as bad as @punkdoc seems to be suffering.Ā  IĀ  sure you have tried most things but have you thought of some gentle stretching exercises?Ā  The chap I go to calls it that now rather than yoga ( though that's what it's based on) because yoga tends to conjure up thoughts of extreme poses feet behind the head etc which we do NOT do.Ā  He always stresses that even if you can only do half the move it will help.Ā  I always sleep particularly well after the class. IĀ  am sure a lot of it is the breathing and relaxation at the end, but worth a try.Ā

Well the sun has just peeped through after the last showerĀ  Ā we might try to get back in the garden again as rain stopped play just now.Ā

    Afternoon everyone,

It’s very pleasant here today, and so nice to see some sunshine after all the grey skies and rain. Everywhere is so soggy, the fields we pass are saturated.

I used to find yoga very relaxing too @Allotment Boy when I did it. It was an evening class, so not too far off bedtime when I got home, so the relaxation of the class really helped with the sleep.

I do a Pilates class now, but that is in the day time, so although it’s beneficial, I don’t think it impacts my sleep pattern.

I’m pleased you are going to try to see your doctor @AnnaB. I hope they can do some tests to get to the bottom of your tiredness. It might be a nutrient you’re lacking, or possibly a thyroid issue, but obviously we can’t second guess it on here, the doctor is the best person to see.

Well, I think I’ll find my book now and have an hour reading.

Wishing all of you with sleep issues a better night tonight šŸ¤ž.
