Managed to get back from my usual quick Saturday trip down to the local shop before the heavens opened - it is still pouring down and looks set in for the night. Well strictly speaking daughter ran me down to the shop as I just dont seem to have the energy to even drive the car these days. No idea what is wrong with me but it seems that I am unable to walk any distance or even complete an easy task without having to take a rest - even making a cuppa is proving exhausting, and it is getting worse, and more and more frustrating. Think I might pop down to see the Doc over the next week to see if they can shed any light on the matter. My sincere best wishes to any of you suffering from illness, aches and pains and sleeping problems, look after yourselves.
Seems like a lot of us havenāt had a very good day, and the weather hasnāt helped. Been raining here all afternoon. Woke to an email from a dear friend who lives abroad, to say she has been in hospital all week. Donāt know why yet, no further replies, but her family have gone out to help. Spent the day worrying, and didnāt do much else apart from cooking dinner.
Well, it was ā morning ā all, but it didnāt come out that way. Itās now 3 pm, and itās been getting warmer each hour. Ā Where is that rain we were promised. Ā
Would love to send you some of our rain @Pat E, what a horrendous night we have had. Feeling very sorry for those here who must be suffering flooding this morning.
My apologies for my bit of a rant yesterday folks, was feeling a bit down, must try to pull myself together coz I really have so much to be thankful for.
We donāt mind at all @AnnaB Ā ā¦Ā itās what friends are for ⦠collectively our shoulders are broad and buoy know that our hearts are warm. As @Pat E says ⦠donāt worry about it š¤Ā
And good morning all š āļøĀ Please can someone put all this rain in a big bucket and send it to @Pat E ⦠weāve really had more than enough now š šŖ£ š§Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Don't worry, @AnnaB, good to get it off your chest. Must be so frustrating for you.
It has tipped with rain all night. At least the violas have been watered in but I hope they don't drown!
@Lizzie27, Peter Beales is only about 20 mins away. If it had been 100 miles I don't think I'd be doing the workshop! You were brave. I hope it doesn't rain too much. Think I'll put a spare mac in the car.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
