Beautiful photos T'bird. I especially like bookstore in theater. You will for sure have a wonderful holiday.
Sunny and cold morning. Yesterday was a short storm with rain and wind, but now is all gone. It's a busy week so far as usual. Didn't read back so hope you all all well. I'll finish my tea and must go out in a few minutes.
I couldn't agree more with you @Biglad and T'Bird - execrable individual. I am hoping to get some stuff to the Sue Ryder shop today when I meet up with Bestie. Now for breakfast.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning all grey and chilly here but I am at work so don’t mind. At least it’s light now when I catch the bus. Out for a meal this evening with friends and sister, just at friends house but should be lovely. Hope you all have a good day.
Good morning Debs. I'm lucky here (at the moment!) as it is sunny and dry. I hope your work day is not too stressful and that you have a lovely time tonight.

Lovely photos @Topbird. I saw Rodin's The Kiss in Paris which is where I thought it was, so I looked it up. There are copies. Rodin made one that went to Lewes in Sussex. The one you saw was a plaster cast. It is a beautiful statue.
I slept much better. My back feels a bit bruised but is a lot better than it was. Doesn't hurt walking up stairs anymore.
We are going to the SM as friends are coming to lunch tomorrow. I was thinking of cancelling it because of my back, but now I won't.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning everyone .I agree TBird .Your pics are gorgeous. Love the library . LB enjoy your visit to Besties.Debs enjoy your evening. So pleased that your back is feeling better Busy .
Morning all. Glad your back is a bit better BL - pain is very draining. Don't think the sculpture I saw was a plaster cast. Looked and felt like marble . It was beautiful even if one of several. It was an international touring exhibition with quite a few of his works and maquettes.
Last night we went to a very nice Michelin recommended restaurant 5 minutes walk from the hotel. I had carpaccio of langoustines followed by quail - 'in a sarcophagus'! (= on a pastry shell thank goodness) and we shared a very good bottle of local Malbec. Excellent meal and quite expensive by BA standards, but less than a third of the price you'd pay in London. Very attentive service by lots of young waiters. Not usually a huge fan of 'posh' restaurants (more of a good pub grub type of person) but this was just very special food in a small and very friendly establishment.
Today we move hotels for one night. It's to the hotel where we join other people on our expedition. Will Uber over there this morning, drop bags and then wander down to the market before having a late lunch.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Afties all. Have skim read back but noticed the lovely photograph from Topbird of the library. I would be in my element in there, I do love books, I should have become a librarian🙂 The building is beautiful too. I would certainly look forward to going to work if I worked there….and the peace….🙂 Hope you continue to have an enjoyable time exploring the area Topbird. Bit of funny times here, can’t settle at the moment as so many things going on and invading life. I do wish it would get warmer too so that we could all get into the gardens more, instead of captured moments here and there. I must plant out some Monarda cuttings I’ve had growing as they are starting to put on extra growth now. Hope everyone is okay. Busy, hope your back is feeling better soon. Strained/pulled muscles can take a a while to heal, take it easy.
Good afternoon all. Had a good day at Bestie's and managed to get a pile of stuff delivered to Sue Ryder shop.
Glad to read that your back is much easier Busy but I think the long drive might still prove to be a bit problematic.
T'Bird your meals sound delicious though I did imagine a tiny little Tutankhamen type dish with your quail inside!
Hazel, I suspect that part of your restlessness is due to the finality of the family home sale being over and done with. Give yourself some quality 'me' time and rest.
