That must have caused a turmoil of emotions, Hazel, relief that it's done, sadness that it's gone, worry about the whole thing.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

You’re right Busy, feeling a big wave of sadness right now. It’ll pass.

Hello all. Back from the nursery and somehow a yellow Tree Paeony and two pots of Cyclamen coum leapt into my trolley. Friend bought 15 more plants for her garden. When I was driving to her house I passed two fire engines and an ambulance. I couldn't see what was going on but after picking her up she was able to tell me that it was a bungalow fire and there was blackened sitting room furniture in the front garden. I do hope that no one was badly hurt, or worse. The fire engines were still there on our return.
Busy, yes, you are correct, I couldn't participate (maybe thats why we won ) but I really enjoyed being Quiz Master - felt like I was back teaching! Sorry you didn't get a good sleep.
Hazel, it will have been a big wrench saying goodbye to the family home, but at least that is one less stress for you and your brother.

LB, nice additions for the garden there🙂 Wow, your friend got a lot! Bet she had a lot of fun choosing her plants.
Had a nice quiet day, did some unmentionables but received a text from Doctors saying they want me to redo blood pressure reading in a fortnights time, Not surprised really as it was very high. However, , took it this afternoon, just out of curiosity and found it was down to normal again. Phew..

I have spent some time this afternoon in the garden - despite Marti. I had some bare root plants that arrived today which I wanted to get into the garden. At least they didn't need watering in!
Hazel, it must be the BP season as I mentioned earlier about having to do another week of reading mine - starting Wednesday.

They’re a pain LB I find, I get  a bit anxious just doing it😳 Good luck doing yours and hope your BP is alright. Good on you for getting your bare roots into the ground and well done on the Quiz Masters job. You’ve done well and are well prepared from your previous job,….never loose the knack of speaking in front of folks.
I'm going to get my needles out now, nearly finished the latest blanket so must get to the charity shop soon as my large box I use for storage, is full!
Signing off for now. Hope everyone is doing well. Catch you later.

Good evening everyone. I haven’t read back .I hope everyone is keeping warm . It’s getting much colder here .I spent most of the morning in the garden .Came in and had lunch then fell asleep.
This afternoon I potted up some yellow poppy plants .Expecting some bamboo screening this week to screen off my potting area at the top of the garden .

Good evening Ruby. Well done for getting your work done in the garden. Did it rain where you were today?
