Good morning everyone .I haven’t read back . The garden is coming to life .Its lovely to see the Spring flowers coming up . Still haven’t done any work in the garden yet .
My three cats have virtually ripped to pieces the year old cat tree . I am looking for  one of those cylinder type ones .It will take longer for them to destroy it .Have a nice day folks .

Good morning Ruby. At the moment, Cricket's cat tree is in pieces all over the front room - not because he's destroyed it but it was missing a screw in its pack and until I can obtain a replacement he has to explore it a piece at a time. Its dry here at the moment and quite still but the sky is its usual morbid grey colour.

Morning all. Fresh morning, very cool but little wind and we have clear skies. We have to pop into town this morning so will get wrapped up. Son is bringing 23 for a visit tomorrow so must prepare for the mayhem that will ensue🤭🙂 Son sent us a video of 23 last night, apparently it was his last assembly as an infant, yikes!😱 He goes into a juniors come September. He can't be that big yet,  surely🤔😲🥴
Topbird,, safe journey back to the UK, glad you've enjoyed your little break, big one next time round though. There are lots of tractors blocking roads etc in France too.
Hi👋👋 to @Red maple, hope you are well.

Morning everyone, It day   very grey and chilly one.
Unmentionables this morning and then this afternoon the poppets and their mummy and daddy are coming this afternoon.
@Busy-Lizzie that's very kind of you thank you. I haven't been that good looking after the garden either this winter. The boys cut the grass mostly for me last year.  The garden is very boggy at the moment and not much has been done since October.  The plants I bought the other day jumped into a basket while my friends chose theirs 😉😂  I'm going to try and get back outside in the garden soon. But like you, I'm not that keen at the moment. The new plants can go in bigger pots for awhile.
Hope everyone is well and the weather isn't too bad where you are. January seems to have whizzed by in some ways.
Have a good day everyone, always take care.

    Good morning everyone,

Yes, I’m well @Songbird-2, thank you for asking 😊. I’ve not done much posting this last couple of days, but I’ve tried to have a quick read of everyone’s posts when I’ve had a quiet moment.

It’s fine but breezy here today (though nowhere near as strong as it was, thank goodness). I really must try and get out for a walk, I seem to have been indoors rather a lot lately - I’ve been sorting through old files of “stuff” and the shredder has been working overtime (it’s amazing how much you accumulate, isn’t it).

I also came across some tulip and daffy bulbs that I bought back in September. I’d started planting them, but didn’t finish. I didn’t realise I’d got quite so many left to plant, but I suppose it’s too late now.

Enjoy your time with 23 tomorrow Songbird, it’s amazing how quickly they grow, isn’t it?
You too, today @star gaze lily.

    Well, I’d better get on.

    Hello all.

I hope your journey home goes smoothly @Topbird.

Hello all, thought I'd posted but I'd only posted on Wordle, about the lack of loading it.

We went to the monthly farmers' market, bought fruit and veg and sausage rolls. I had hot chocolate and a bacon roll and OH had coffee and a cheese straw. Then we went to Diss for various bits and pieces and I ordered 9 sacks of compost for mulching. It will be delivered on Tuesday. I had better get a move on with clearing up the flower beds.

OH and I decided to pop to the local g/c for this afternoon for a new pot I need. Fatal mistake.....came back with some John Innes No2 compost, Pritzelago ,  2x million bells, bluebells, scabiosa, another alpine veronica  and gaillardia. No pot🤭 Another trip out tomorrow is on the cards to somewhere different for a pot. Have spent about an hour in the garden potting up a hybrid rose, planting in pots some of new plants and potting on and generally enjoying being  getting hands dirty.🙂
Busy, it's been a long time since I had a hot chocolate. Funnily enough I only enjoy them when bought at a cafe etc, not a home made on. That's a good load of mulch compost you will have to put down, mind your back!
Red Maple, I'd have a go at still planting out any spare daffs or tulips. You never know, they may grow this year, shame to waste them. I planted out some daffs in a most odd place in the garden when I had some spare, and have noticed they've started popping through the soil, Don't know whether they'll come up blind though. I have periodic sort outs too with paperwork, but as you get rid on one load, another load mysteriously appears. Hope,p you manage your walks sometime.
Hope, you have a lovely time with family and  @star gaze lily, they should certainly tire you out😂

Good afternoon all. Nice to see you @Red maple and I agree with Hazel about putting your bulbs in now. They may not put on any sort of a show but if they are firm and not mouldy they may just sit there happily until next spring. Tulips might give you a show later.
Hazel, brace yourself for tomorrow and the arrival of 23! SGL, I hope that you have had a lovely time with the Poppets and their Mum and Dad this afternoon. As it has gone dark now and it is Holocaust Memorial Day, I have lit a candle in my window for those lives lost to genocide. I think it was Hazel who said the other day, words to the effect of heaven forfend that happening again yet sadly when we look at some areas of our world it seems humanity hasn't learned.
