Morning everyone. Thereās a suspicious looking cloud moving up the valley. Ā Perhaps the rain hasnāt finished after all. š. Weāve a quick trip to town for Hubby to have a blood test before his Dr visit next week. It never ends, does it! Ā Thereās always something to get done.
Hi @Pat E, hope OH's blood test will show that all is ok when he sees the Doc next week. You really are having some strange weather for what should be your mid summer, I know that our weather has been awful this year with so much flooding all over the country, but our winters can often throw us some nasty surprises at times. Hope that cloud that you have spotted heads off to another area? Take care of yourself, hubby too and give that lovely Pixel a gentle stroke from me. Thought you might like this picture - we now live in a converted barn which I used to use as stables, our dining room is where this elderly lady used to live, dont think she is too happy about the situation.
thatās funny, @AnnaB! I wonder if she is jealous!Ā More rain, @Pat E? I think ours may be finished for a while, but itās noticeably colder tonight. If the cloud has gone, might see some stars. Iād get up to look, but itās too cosy in bed!Ā
Good on you @punkdoc Positive outlook. Ā I'm still hobbling around on one crutch with groin pain. Ā Nothing I can do until I have an x-ray - earliest appointment, 19th Jan.
Ā Love the photo @AnnaB Ā She's probably wondering where the barn door has got to!!Ā Ā Ā How bad is your wet weather - rain, rain and more rain!! Ā We have the same problems here in France with train and travel problems and entire villages flooded and of course, homes evacuated. Ā We have nary a drop here.
The temperature is forecast to drop by 10°C this weekend. Ā Cold blasts coming down from Sweden. Ā
Days are quiet at the moment - am glad of some respite.
Good morning all š āļø and hello @Pat E Ā šĀ very glad to hear youāve Gad a better night @punkdoc ⦠itāll make all the difference. šĀ Mycoffee is on its way ā¦Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I got up early this morning to have my routine blood tests done at the lab. It was dark at 8am, which is 7am UK time. The electric front gate didn't want to open at first, it doesn't like cold and damp.
Then I went into town as it's market day. I bought fruit and veg, some curry powder and cous cous powder and a joint of pork. The stalls all looked colourful and fresh. Then I went to the haberdasher's and bought some new needles for my sewing machine. I broke one the other day hemming my jeans. I think it was old and blunt.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
This photo of late afternoon sunshine across the valley was taken at 8.30pm ( just a couple of minutes ago) . Please note that our river is up a bit. šš

That's better @punkdoc, I hope the pain is better too, but it must be if you slept.
What a sweet pony @AnnaB. How old is she?
