    Morning all.

Damp and grey outside. We will go to the SM later, but that is all that is planned for today.

Tomorrow is the opera dinner night and I'll wear my new evening dress and faux fur jacket.

    Hi all.

Very late up this morning ( did the 5 minute thing @Rubee 😬) and then straight out to a local Retail Park for some shopping. It was heaving with folk and I realised I didn't like it at all. Too much hustling and bustling about and after getting knocked into on my side, I swung round with ' a look' on my face as no apology was forthcoming. The young woman soon said sorry. I don't know where manners have gone to these days.
OH got himself a few craft things as he is going to make our own Xmas cards next year.
    I bought a singing  Cactus plant(🤭😉) ,ostensibly for 23 you understand.......😉 It's a great bit of fun.
Busy, I bet you will look lovely in your new dress and jacket so here's wishing you a delightful evening in all your finery.

Good afternoon all. I have had a busy day so far. I went round to my NDN to ask if he could come and help me shift the piece of furniture (a theatre sound system) that my TV was sitting on as I wanted to use my flat pack TV table which is on castors and therefore easier to move. I couldn't even move the old table a centimetre. He came round straight away and I cleared a path for him to remove it to the garage. Thank goodness for the sack trolley! When he realised I just wanted rid of it he went and got his Range Rover, backed it up my neighbours drive - which adjoins mine - loaded the TV table into it plus several other large pieces a 'stuff' in the garage and he is going to take them all to the tip for me. How kind is that? I have lovely neighbours.
The tree is down in the living room - still naked but at least its a start. As it was so pleasant today I also managed to get Lily's TV on and now I'm shattered.
Hazel my friend from Crewe went for a mini break in London and she said that when in Oxford Street she felt like a pin ball in the machine. Bumped every which way. She hated it. I guess this is why there are a lot of pickpockets in London.
Busy, have a glorious evening tonight. Hope it is warm enough for you and no rain!

    Thank you @Songbird-2. @Ladybird4 it isn't tonight, it's tomorrow.

@steveTu did you mean to post that on this thread?

We didn't go to the usual SM. Housebound NDN's vacuum cleaner had died so we went to get her a new one at the shop which is near Sainsbugs so we did the food shop there. We didn't pay for it, she gave me her card and told me the budget. She's just rung to say she's pleased with it.

Our nice gardening man who comes when we aren't here popped round this afternoon. I gave him the huge dahlia which has outgrown it's space and cut off the sun to the Penelope rose.

    Evening all,

Lovely day here so I finally finished planting the first apple tree - 'Elstar'. Also, got a few tete-a-tete bulbs in the ground before it went dark. A very successful hour of skiving off work ;)

Yes...you've got me doubting it now as the post referred to was edited to correct the mistyping (that's a woman from Asia)....
