I do hope so, @ViewAhead. Trying hard not to start biting my fingernails again! It’s very stressful even at a distance. Before our next move, I will be trying to convince OH that we could plan to rent once we have sold this house. I certainly will have to avoid looking at new properties until we are well into the sales process. It was so traumatic getting excited about houses we liked the look of, and watching them sell to others.

@Busy-Lizzie - I was beilng lazy and using shorthand instead of C deV.   No matter.   Our French buyers in Belgium did the same a syour Dutch but only by 2 or 3 weeks which gave us more time for crud clearing and finding good homes for certain treasured plants.

I'm hoping no news is good news for @rowlandscastle444. It is stressful @Ergates, isn't it, all this watching and waiting from afar🤭😂

I've been hoping that we haven't heard anything because he's on the move.  I keep looking to see if there's any news.

  • Hi all. We got the news about 3pm that it MIGHT be possible, having hassled our solicitors, estate agents, removal company and more.
Our solicitors were being unhelpful. I gave them some ways in which they could skirt the problem, but they were uncooperative.
When the "Okay" finally came through, our removal company said that because it would be late getting into the property, there would be extra charges.
They were going to be minor compared to the alternatives.
But the day has been more stressful than it needed to be, and it shouldn't take the client to provide solutions.

No, I'd not been on GW forum, mainly because I spent much of the day on the phone. The mobile, because we'd been cut off by BT.

BUT WE HAVE LEFT OUR NEIGHBOURS, and it is quiet. Eerily so.
And I am shattered - physically and emotionally.
We might work out how to set the

You know when you squirt some WD40 at a hinge and it stops squeaking. You look around for another squeak so that you can get the same hit again. This is happening to me but with paper. I have dumped pretty much all superfluous documents and the like and now I need another hit but there's no paper. I'm going to have to open up the sucky bags and find some more clothes to send to the charity shop.
