Good morning all and good afternoon @Pat E

I hope your snooze was good. Ā I rest most afternoons but I can't seem to find that sleep zone and doze off.

Ā I agree @Lizzie27 Ā about minor x-rays in GPs' surgeries. Ā It would take much stress off the hospital services.Ā

    Ā Today is for Bruno.Ā

Hi Tui. Yes I had a good snooze, but pixel decided it was the right time to sit on my pillow and make little mewling noises. She kept changing sides until I gave up and gave her a little treat. 😱😁 Now I’ve got a cuppa and could talk to her and she has spotted four lizards outside the door so I’m no longer the person of interest. Ā Der!

Good morning and good afternoon to Australia.

Not a lot planned for the day except some food shopping. Weather is still good, but autumn is here, a thicker duvet was pulled out of the cupboard last night.

Tomorrow I am on a gardeners' trip to Belgium: we will visit les Jardins d’Annevoie,Ā  Ā  L’Arboretum Lenoir and le Jardin ArtChiVert. I am not sure we will see a lot of colour as it is a little early, nevertheless it will be lovely to visit these gardens. Quite looking forward to it.

I hope we all have a good day.

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
goodness me … I caught up on a lot of sleep last night and didn’t wake up until 7:45 … son has a pre-op assessment at Broomfield this morning and needed to leave by 8:30!!! Bless OH he’d already got him coffeed-up and applied his cream and pressure garments and was helping him to get dressed … son left at 8:28.Ā

Now I’d better have my second coffee and wake up properly … 🄱

@Lizzie27 … I thinkĀ our GP practice does have X-ray facilities for stuff like broken arms etc and does all sorts of other stuff including minor surgery, ECGs etc Ā and I’m pretty sure I’ve read in their blurb that they do cataract ops … but it is a big modern city centre Practice and quite a few of the doctors there also teach at the University hospital up the road. Happily, although it’s a big practice it hasn’t lost it’s human touch and is very patient-centred. We’re very lucky.Ā

  • @Badly_Maintained … that’s interesting … would you mind telling us roughly whereabouts you are, so that we have some sort of context for that report. 😊

Ah thanks for that @Badly_Maintained šŸ‘ now the weather report makes sense 😊
I’ve seen very little of Ireland but do have memories of a lovely week in Dublin when OH was exhibiting there. We always intended to return but since then ā€˜life events’ have intervened … I do know West Wales tho … just across the water from you so can sort of imagine your weather. ā›…ļø We’re much drier over here in East Anglia.Ā

  • Good morning all,Ā  another cool dull start. Still working away trying to clear half plot. It's amazing how much "stuff " we accumulate in a shed isn't it. In between I have to level the ground that we are going to move it to, it's a long time since I've done such heavy work so it's slow going.Ā Ā
So to hear of yourĀ  problems @coccinella. Pleased to hear some good news from @WonkyWomble.Ā

@Dovefromabove your post about keys made me smile. We never lock doors here, in factĀ  we have long since lost the front door key. As for vehicles, well just come and take your pick, the keys are all in the ignitions ready for an instant get away. But shoosh, dont tell anybody!

When I lived in a rural Suffolk village it was like that @AnnaB … everyone knew everyone and we all kept an eye on each other’s places (and children šŸ˜‚) a bit different here on the edge of a city.Ā

A lie-in has of course put me behind today … but I’ve changed DS’s bedlinen OH has helped me turn the mattress, and there’s a load chuntering away in the machine. Now I’m having a coffee and writing a list for the farm shop …
