  • An unexpected dry day,Ā  I am now officially off the half plot.Ā  Still lots to do, shed has settled in it's new spot so will need jacking up a bit, as the door is in danger of catching on the path,Ā  so IĀ  can't " re-load" it with shelving etc as I don't want to put too much weight into it until its done.
Very minor in the grand scheme of things.Ā

    good morning all

at least some good news on your front @D0rdogne_Damsel but I would pursue Booking.com. Meanwhile have a good time with your son.

Another rainy day I think, shame as we are going to Maastricht for OH specs (half the price there) but not a show stopper. Hopefully we will come back with a new pair of shoes for me and an order for the glasses. I have the radio on and all this sounds all so utterly trivial.Ā

you have all a good day won't you?Ā

    Good morning allĀ  :) ā˜•ļøĀ
Hope everyone’s had a restful Ā night. We have to be up early and firing on all cylinders … the tree man should be here at 9am. Thankfully as it’s half term there won’t be all the parents cars performing chaotic manoeuvres as he is trying to park his shredder and truck etc.Ā
We also need to get son off to work by 8:30 … so I really had better get up ..,

Ooh, exciting, Dove! I’ve been known to set up my garden chair to watch the proceedings!

Morning all, sunshine and blue sky here which is very uplifting. Washing machine on and nephew is busy fitting the newel post. OH is fetching the paper and milk as we've run out.

Good news all round @D0rdogne_Damsel except for the credit card scam. I don't think the credit card company can wriggle out of that so I would keep on pestering them. Love the cakes.

That looks very drastic @Dovefromabove, but it's astonishing how quickly the trees grow back. It's fascinating to watch the tree surgeons at work though, I'm with Ergates on that.

Hope you get OH's new glasses sorted @coccinella and enjoy the trip to town.

I'm waiting for the S/M delivery and then I'm going to cook a Beef Bourguignon in advance of OH's friend's arrival tomorrow. It tastes better reheated and will keep in the oven if he's delayed on the journey from Essex.

    Have a good day everyone.
