    Good morning all  :) ☕
Hope you’ve got your power back  @Pat E 😊 and I hope that your tummy is behaving itself now @Busy-Lizzie Â đŸ€ž and that everyone’s had a restful night.

OH cut the front grass yesterday
the first time since May. It was full of achillea and looked quite splendid
I’d see passers by stop and look and sometimes discuss it but I never heard what they were saying
perhaps it’s just as well đŸ€ŁÂ

Some of the patches had to be strimmed  first
now we need a new double cassette of blue plastic stringy stuff.

After the neglect of the past spring and summer I think that next spring we’ll have to dig over and replant that border
it’s been invaded by twitch 🙄

Believe it or not, the power wasn’t turned off today as we were advised. Now we don’t know what’s coming.

    Still cardigan weather.

    Morning all.

I hope your electricity stays on @Pat E and you don't have a horrid surprise.

I slept well. I think tummy is a bit better and OH has reminded me that he had the same problem a few days ago so it's probably a bug.

OH is having his flu vaccination at midday, then we are going to Sainsbugs to get some veg for my dinner party tomorrow. It's near Been Q so OH can buy some wood to make a frame to put our new house sign on.

We are going to dinner with friends this evening.

    Ah @Busy-Lizzie
son had a fairly mild gippy tum and a sinusy head about two weeks ago, then I had the same thing last week
it’s obviously doing the rounds. Lasted a 2-3 days. Hope yours passes quickly.

  • Good morning all,  yet another warm overcast start. I know Hosta will disagree but it's too warm for October  and I have a lot of heavy jobs to do. Progress on plot clearance has slowed to a crawl,  not helped by my OH having put her back out (not on plots I might add) so I haven't been able to do much the past 2 days.  On a lighter note we were sitting out with a coffee yesterday and treated to the sight of two pairs of buzzards circling high above us.  I know it can be deceptive but I swear one pair were higher than some of the aeroplanes,  that were circling to land at Heathrow or Luton.
Have a good start to the week everyone.

Morning everybody, slow to get going today, think I may have overdone it yesterday so taking a day off from gardening today. Waiting for a friend to arrive as we're going for a coffee/lunch in a nearby town for a change and maybe a stop at a GC on the way home.

The sun's just breaking through so looks like it might be warm again, I may have to rethink what I'm wearing.

Hope Busy-Lizzie and any others with funny tums feel better soon and that @AuntyRach
doesn't have a too busy week at work.

Enjoy your time in town @Pat E.

Actually, I have just thought to water my potted roses and other plants as I've just realised we've had no rain for a week - oops!

    Good morning all
Another sunny day. Don't get me wrong guys, I do like fine weather, but I agree with @Allotment Boy it's too warm. I have blooming delphiniums...đŸ€·â€â™€ïž
We are having unexpected visitors fro Yorkshire on Wed, so I'd better clean their room. Nothing else to report except that my fothergilla is looking her best now.

    Hi all

Another beautiful day, so nice to be able to be outside in a tee shirt.
Just seen a large skein of geese flying South over the house. Wonder where they are going?

I got the grass cut yesterday, and a bit of deadheading/cutting back stuff that's dying back messily.
Hoping to do some scarifying today, but I need to bake first - OH wants something to take to work tomorrow for World Mental Health Day, and if I leave it to him, he'll be asking for help after tea tonight. I've got a red velvet cupcake 🧁 recipe that I want to try out before making it for a family occasion, so it's a good opportunity.
