The ground was very dry and there were ash tree roots @Lizzie27 so I'm not expecting much. I was going to plant the verge on the other side, no ash tree, but neighbour over the road had already done it.

Here I am again. Made the same ,intake again it seems on my iPad.  Haven’t been able to get onto Forkers again. I think I can fix it next time though.😏 👏
Having crazy temps here. Snow on the high country again and we’ve been lighting the fire in here again, just when we were told to expect heat and high winds. I know which I prefer though. At least Hubby is safe at home instead of fighting fires.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
It’s a misty morning here 14C and warming up.
    Gorgeous pics @coccinella 😎
Glad your hubby isn’t out firefighting today @Pat E 👍

  • Morning Dove & everyone else.  Today's forecast high is a remarkable 20C (more typical for high Summer here).  I'm dead-heading the last of my annuals.  Have a wonderful day in your gardens everyone.

    Where is everyone?

No gardening for me either, I have tummy ache and the garden isn't too bad at the moment. I finished weeding and edging yesterday.

    Evening everyone.

Sunday evening is always busy for me what with prepping uniforms, making supper, hair wash, catching up with messages etc. Work and home busy with hassles and organising so I will be pleased to have a week off work starting next weekend.

I hope everyone is ok and enjoyed the warm and sunny weekend, if you were in it.

Evening all, another glorious day here. I hacked back at a big old ivy root, have a horrible feeling it's probably grown through the mortar on the wall (which may be why the wall has a big crack in it!). I've soaked it in SBK which I'm hoping will kill the roots off - eventually. Might take several goes. Then I cut the inside of our front hedge and gained about a metre of extra parking space. OH will have to finish off the higher branches I couldn't reach. Just had a shower, then a cuppa and a rest. Put the lamb on to roast an d now relaxing with a glass of cold pink Pinot. Very welcome!

Shame about the hip ache @punkdoc, have you been overdoing it in the sunshine like me?

Hope the tummy ache goes soon @Busy-Lizzie - something you ate recently?

Hi Forkers. Our power was supposed to go off at 9.30am, but it’s still showing a light. Perhaps they forgot to adjust their clocks to the summer time. We rushed around filling the thermoses and having breakfast, but no need.

We are planning to spend a few hours in town where they still have power. Darned cold here in the house.

    Best wishes to all.
