First I put a large cardboard down on patio so nothing is wasted and I can collect everything at the end.
@kate.james58 I do the same but with an old kids’ plastic splash mat. It always annoys me when bits of compost inevitably fall around everywhere. I use a large trug — nice idea with the two-trug method @Emptyheadtime!

Some horticultural grit mixed in with the compost to help with drainage is also useful. Enjoy!

I hope so @newbie77 but I expect it will take a few years.

Nice selection of roses @Busy-Lizzie. I have seen Seagull at its peak at one of my colleagues' home and it was marvellous.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)
