..after 18 months, I finally have a little frog in my mini pond. How exciting.. right in the centre, those big eyes.. [edited to show a better photo]..
@FireBat69 I would burn all those Chinese scam seeds, not convinced they’re even from roses. You wouldn’t want to accidentally introduce the next Japanese Knotweed!
@WAMS leaving the dead stems on until spring is usually enough protection for penstemons. I’ve never, but you could pile up some dry compost over the crown.

Hi all! If you were to speculate... how likely would you say it is that DA is going to introduce a rose similar to Scepter'd Isle at some point soon? Can't decide whether to buy a bunch of them now or wait... any insights you can provide?
Or maybe someone can point me in the direction of a non-DA rose similar to Scepter'd Isle?
Boscobel arrived as a potted trimmed back specimen on Wednesday. Exciting to have a new one but a little bittersweet in this case, as it is the marker of a grave of a dearly departed cat.
In any case it looks very healthy. Hopefully it will be beautiful next year.

Lochinvar battling through cosmos foliage Cornelia The Sun and the Heart has been open for a few days... So I plucked out some of the middle petals like a psycho to better appreciate its persica-y-ness, as you do.
I think most of the persica-type roses have considerably long-lived flowers. I have only one of that type 'See you in Purple '. This one has flowers open for more than a week.
A few photos taken today, the perk of WFH on a Friday. Walferdange Golden Celebration. Lady of Shalott climbing into the apple tree. Timeless Charisma - best for the vase. L'Aimant It's a wonderful life Westerland - lanky and fewer flowers this time around.
