Tanya’s Garden isn’t a ‘company’. They for sure aren’t a member of any horticulture trades associations like BARB or Defra or even have a registered VAT number so be very careful members! They may supply the goods but where and how did they get them, if they are growing them themselves are they paying for the breeders licenses or having them inspected if they are importing them? Sometimes people are just happy receiving a rose, fair enough but there is a morality behind who we give our hard earned money to. I noted on social media they gave a very weak looking munstead wood to someone but gave the customer another because of how weak it looked, which the customer thought was an example of good service, but to me they both looked like pencils. Also MW is under license for another 5 years so legally they shouldn’t be supplying what looked like cuttings. Anyway rant over.
Austins have themselves to blame in a way, for removing and deliberately making obsolete so many of their much coveted roses, that a black market has now erupted. I think that's the way I would describe it. They've lost control of their product.
Definitely so. There are multiple Instagram shops and European providers which have stepped into the breach. I'm all for IP rights being respected, but the reality is that interest in roses like MW and LEH doesn't evaporate because DA abruptly withdrew them. Quite the opposite!
Do agree with your general thrust though, @badgerwatch- I'm not overly keen to give my money if there is not for example a business address.
Extraordinary weather here for November, got to 23.5c yesterday and even nighttime temps are holding above 5c. Plenty of cheap flights to Barcelona around if anyone fancies a late break in the sun 😆
Severe lack of rain means the garden is a dustbowl, but some roses are still soldiering on. Looking a bit pale and tired, but a welcome sight nonetheless..

Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Yours are much tidier than my late blooms WAMS! LoS is over for me now, but it’s not as continuously or as long-blooming here as in the UK. A hard one to find the perfect position for - too much sun and it burns, too little and it blooms poorly.

Some rewarding blooms there Nollie and WAMS. It is so wet here I think the local river and thus my garden will flood soon. The garden recovers well so I am OK with it, as long as the house stays dry!
I have lots of soggy buds. I haven't been out to tend anything recently, Gruss an Aachen may not look too pretty through the window but it keeps going. The roses under cover fare better Joie de VivreFaustiniaDames de ChenonceauFrilly Cuff can take the rain
