  • Enjoyed the show,  some very good dancers last night. Did think there  was too much faffing before Annabelles charleston. But enjoyed it once she was on the dance floor.
Can't remember her name but the one that seemed to be in the air more than she was dancing could be in the dance off tonight.
Craig seems back to his normal self this week 🤣🤣

Will there be a dance off tonight as one dancer was missing?
  • @floralies they have done in the past when some were off sick with Covid or an injury. Think they are only allowed to miss one week though.

Yes, I think you are right, I just thought they may eliminate two next week. Perhaps I'm thinking of Bake Off

I think that they have to have a dance off or there's no point in people voting and as some votes probably pay to vote they have to get rid of a dancer. I think that even if someone leaves the show for health reasons someone else gets voted out.

If they don’t have a dance off then there is no point in tonight’s show
I think you can miss 1 performance due to illness , then you are out

@floralies  , Bake off this week had no eliminations due a contest taken ill but will eliminate 2 next week , they have done that before

Yes, the rules state you can miss one week, any more and you are "disqualified" as it were. There is still a dance off tonight and the series just carries on as normal with one fewer couple. (Or should that be one less couple, l'm never sure :) ).

What happens if they start going down like nine pins l don't know. As long as we don't end up with a two couple final as happened in 2021. That was a real anti climax, even though Rose and Giovanni were favourites to win.

Angela Rippon's legs are a source of envy to me.

Does anyone else think the costumes are vastly improved this year ? I wonder if there's been an increase in the budget.
Not sure about Bobby Brazier's "Damart thermals" look though. That was odd.

  • @AnniD I thought the costumes were better than last year's too.  Well yes I agree, apart from Bobby's thermals 🤣  Thought that rather strange considering the dance.
I too am amazed at what Angela Rippon can do with her legs, aswell as having such lovely legs too.
Shirley said to her last week she should be more flexible!  I shouted at the TV, She's just bent over backwards and she's 79!!
  • I also thought the "thermals" were wrong for the dance. I bought some like that from Sainsbury's 😁
Said to OH that's a ladies vest! Still, anything goes nowadays.
I liked Ellie's Paso very much, and Annabels Charleston. I like her restraint.
I didn't like Karen and Eddies couples choice at all,it was all over the place, but then maybe that's how it was meant to be?  I wish they would do away with that.

The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.

OH watched the rugby last night so we'll catch up with Strictly this evening.
So did mine…. Anyway, moving on.
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.
