I can't warm to Bobby and Layton.  Something grates about the way they move and Bobby had his bum stuck out in that tango.

I thought Bobby stuck out his bum too, I was expecting Craig to say something. I only got around to watching it today. I also find it hard to warm to Layton but I did think he danced very well. He is very theatrical and moves in a feminine sort of way.

I thought time was up for Jody and I expect he was relieved, he didn't look comfortable. I prefer natural chests, I don't like the bald pink look on a man.

Hi @Busy-Lizzie.  I did think it wasn't really fair to expect a decent salsa from Jody so early on from a contestant with a prosthetic leg, especially after his leg had been infected and sore.  He'll be glad to get back to his cycling and swiming.

Never did like theatricality and exaggerated gestures in acting or dancing.

I find theatricality in comedies all right.  However, in dancing, though I'm not a dancer, not so much.  I always remember the wonderful Len who often expressed his dislike of it.

I think the fact that a fair number celebs hope to move into musicals as their careers move on may explain the amount of theatrically and ‘faffing abaht’ in Strictly. As has been said before, they’re not in the programme for fun … it’s strategic.

I also think there's a lot of "faffing abaht" at the start to cover a lack of dancing prowess. Nothing wrong with that per se, the professionals have to do their best with the materials they've been given as it were.
Anton was a past master at it 😁.

I thought that there were a few disappointing performances last night I didn't think that Adam and Luba were that good but then again Adam suffers from arthritis so his movement is a little stiff, Craig had gone back to being grumpy again I thought that Anton may have been giving an extra point to compensate for Craig's low scores. Our votes went to Layton, Ellie and Bobbie, although Layton is a very good dancer that is the first dance that we have really enjoyed. Great to see Amy again.

OH watched the rugby last night so we'll catch up with Strictly this evening.

@barry island hello , I agree that Anton may be giving slightly higher scores to compensate for Craig’s low scores !
Overall a good show , some dances better than others , as ever , it will be interesting to see who’s in the dance off tonight
