Good afternoon everyone. I hope you have all had wonderful days.
Oh no Ante! I hope that the water didn't do too much damage - at least it wasn't Earl Grey!
Debs, Jack does really well for his age. I nipped over after getting back from Bestie's and he was using his machine - that one that Ian Botham advertises - and he swears that it is doing his legs good. They are not as swollen as they used to be. The back to backs sound very interesting. I think we would all hate that nowadays.
Red maple, I have 4 acers in large pots. I would find it impossible to move them now - well without a forklift truck! I expect that they will eventually shatter the pots they are in.
Busy, it is possible to freeze sweet corn without blanching. Don't remove the husk and make sure the cling film/bag you use is air free.
Hazel, pleased you had a fun time with 23. I just had my hair coloured this time as she did a bit of an Edward Scissorhands on my hair last time and I like the length it is now.
It was raining when I left to go to Bestie's this morning but it soon stopped and now it is really quite pleasant

    Evening all,

Glorious weather this afternoon so I'm playing golf tomorrow instead :oΒ Β

Bit of athletics on the TV whilst I catch up on a bit of admin. Home alone tonight but managed to avoid the temptation to have a house party ;)Β Β

Good morning early bird Ruby and all arriving soon. Hope you have managed to get back to sleep Ruby.
Good luck with your golf today Biglad - best take your waterproofs!
@rowlandscastle444 as promised a report on the bergamot marmalade which I have just had for breakfast. It has the usual marmalade taste but there is a fragrant 'over flavour' hint of the bergamot. Absolutely delicious. My one criticism is that I prefer thinly sliced peel and this marmalade has very chunky slices which make spreading a bit of a problem. I would buy it again.

    Thank you for the report.Β
The main reason I asked, was because my Dad has marmalade for breakfast every morning. It was always my Mum's homemade, and, although they have moved and I'm sure they still have a reasonable stock of the stuff, it's something to consider looking out for him in the future.
Or some ginger marmalade that I know doesn't last very long in their house!!

Glad you've enjoyed it, and the desire to buy it again, is always a good sign.πŸ˜‹
