Ooo Busy, that looks like a nice nook and cranny place, just what I love. It certainly will look a lot better and brighter when you've finished painting it white. Ive just popped into town to the chemist, and it's 25 degrees, hot for me. Phew...
I seem to have gone AWOL quite a bit recently. I've had a quick skim back.
I reckon that I'm the world's foremost expert on walking through cobwebs @Songbird-2 - I'm forever getting that sensation of my head passing through the stuff Β I don't suppose my height helps - reaches parts other folk can't reach!
I've been starting to think that 10,000 steps/day wasn't actually enough @Ladybird4! I've just taken the undelivered letters back to the council offices as they gave yesterday as the deadline (not sure why). I had 12 that were undeliverable, 3 that I couldn't find and 1 'other'. 16 out of 950 isn't bad especially when the instructions tell you not to bother trying to deliver to any farms (I did all bar one).
Glad to hear you're finished with this round of leaflets @Biglad. Now you may have some time for gardeningπ Think our spiders must be 'low brow' as I think I'm nearly a foot shorter than youπ
Funny you should say that @Songbird-2 - I've got a man in this week! Finally time to get my front garden sorted. Fencing to keep out the sheep, taking the lawn out, splitting into two levels and laying some gravel. Then I get to plant it up
Afternoon all. Had great fun with my friends this afternoon. Well our application forms have gone in so we will just have to wait and see now. I'm not holding my breath. Busy, I agree with Hazel, painting your furniture will certainly make the room light and bright. You can see the difference already even though it is only the base coating.
Biglad, I think you have done very well with your letter delivery. Have you always had a secret yen to be a postie??
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
It's a job that suits me in a lot of ways @Ladybird4 and I did look into it years ago but Royal Mail weren't taking anybody on at the time. What's not to like about wandering around the streets in all weathers on your own Β
A very good morning one and all. I must get my car booked in for its 1st MOT today. I cannot believe it is 3 years since I bought it. Hopefully I will be able to get into the garden as well as I have noticed a few unwelcome intruders that need sorting out.
Ante, I hope that yesterday at school went well. Wait until the students get there though!
@Biglad, I reckon I would just be a fair weather postie and I would definitely want one of those little trolleys to wheel the heavy mail around.

LB, it's unbelievable that three years past since you bought new car. It was fine at school, just paperwork and formalities. I really can't wait till students are back π.
One more sunny and hot morning. I didn't expect such weather on the end of August. I have school from 10am to 2pm, then I'll go to cottage. Must water all my veggies. Pets are all fed(don't eat too much when is hot), and it's my turn for cup of tea.Β
Wish you all a lovely day and see you this evening.Β
Carrying anything heavy for a period of time would be my issue now @Ladybird4 - the glass back wouldn't be happy if I was a full-time postie. I'm more than happy to deliver the election stuff every now and again though - not much weight to lug round (especially if I drive to a central point and keep coming back to the car to reload). The money also helps Β
Looks quite bright at the minute but the forecast doesn't indicate a good 'drying day'. I've been left with some wet cloth thingies to sort out.
Should see some good progress in the front garden today - a skip is booked to arrive.

I'd be hitting your cobwebs a bit lower down then
