Topbird, glad to hear you've had some rain at long last.
Debs, good to hear that work is calming down despite being busy.Enjoy your day with Thomas.. We saw 23 last night, he is as brown as a berry and still as mad over Pokémon as ever.
Busy, the meal sounds a good one.
Rosie, I, too, saw a squirrel in mum’s garden this week. It was hopping from tree to tree, lovely sight.

Have received a letter from Boots inviting me for a winter flu jab😱 Isn't that a bit early?🤔

@Songbird-2, that's good news about your Mum, must be such a relief for you. Maybe it's a relief for her too, knowing she will be looked after.

@Topbird it was The Raj, Thetford. Friends had recommended it. Not in town but in a housing estate just out of town.

I did some rose dead heading this morning and got rained off. Then we took 2 more bags of garden rubbish to the re-cycling. Then Tesco to buy stuff to take back to France, that you can't get in France, for us and my family eg huge boxes of teabags, Chinese sauces, ginger cake, Shreddies, Minstrels.

It's been tipping with rain, glad the garden is being watered before we go.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Well I cannot speak T'Bird. I have NEVER heard that call 'Hindrance' before. After all the horrendous grunting and screaming from some of the ladies I really do not understand that at all. I cannot rise to your superb refreshments. Will my mug of tea and two jammie dodgers count?? My hydrangea arrived and despite the light rain falling at the time, I got it planted into the site I had prepared earlier this week. Then the rain torrented down so it will have been watered in very well. Those chairs sound just the job for your camper and light too.
Hazel that must have been for you the best result ever for your Mum. Such a relief. Been there and done that. Hopefully she will still remain happy. You might have to get some more wool for her. So pleased for you and your family. Yes, I do think that is an early call from Boots. Apparently we should get notification sometime between September and December. You don't have to go.
Well stocked up there, Busy. I am just wondering whether or not to make a quick dash tomorrow morning. I'll decide when I get up. I've half heartedly started making a mental list but am getting braced now for the next semi. Shushing Face on Google Noto Color Emoji I want Alcaraz to win!

LB, OH and I will wait until we hear from the Surgery about the flu jab.I just thought it was ridiculously early to putting the invitations out. Thanks  for kind words about mum, when I stock up my wool supplies I'll get mum some nice new balls of wool too.
Busy, thank you for the kind words. Your time in each country seems to be getting shorter and shorter each time! Glad you've stocked up on your hard to get goodies in France, they should keep you going until you return.
It's started raining here but it's quite warm still. Not overpoweringly hot or muggy, just right for us. Did a bit of gardening this morning, I cleared loads of Pittisporum leaves which have dropped.....the borders were full of them.( almost like Autumn leaves falling).

I've been rooting for ABD all tournament @Ladybird4 but fear I may be disappointed!

I'd be making up a few calls if I was umpiring a Joke-a-vitch match as well :D

@Biglad - sorry but you have me there. Who/what is ABD? I know I'm probably just going to kick myself when you tell me!
