Morning everyone, yes Flanders and Swan, one of my favourites.  We've just had a shower   so I guess the humidity will be going up again. We didn't get much rain yesterday,  so garden needs more.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all

Mahoosive storm last night, sadly lots of Sheffield got flooded, but we were very lucky, lots of plant flattening, but nothing else.
Have started the skin and nose preparation for my op., lots of creams and potions to be applied.

    Good morning Forkers!

@raisingirl  "In July the sun is hot, is it shining - no it's not!!  But at least in Blighty, the rain warms up mid-July!!

And hot it is here - as billyo!!  Picked the first few tomatoes but the rest aren't ripening - they will all come on together and the glut will begin!!

I hope you all have a pleasant Sunday, whatever the weather.

Mind you’re not so greased up you slip out of their hand @punkdoc 😉

No storms here (yet) but the sky has hazed over … I’ve just been out to tip the coffee grounds around the hostas on the bank, and it’s trying to drizzle.

Last winter in that cold snap I put a load of kitchen scraps food out  on the back lawn for the bigger birds, wood pigeons etc  … now we’ve got butternut squash seedlings growing all over the lawn 😂

    Good morning Forkers

hot and sticky here. Went out for a walk in the woods at 8.30 and it was already hot. We had coffee and croissants on a bench. Now back inside where we will hide until dark. In winter too cold to go out, in summer too hot to go out. What are we like 🤣

    Morning all.

A real mixed-bag of weather between us! I often marvel at how humans need quite a narrow temperature range to survive in, and within that a smaller range to be comfortable (with the help of clothes, shelter or heating), but there is an even smaller ‘sweet spot’ of a pleasant natural environmental temperature. I call the last one the ‘T shirt zone’ - so you are comfortable and warm enough to just wear a T shirt and shorts/jeans. In the cooler months I’m referring to days inside when no heating is required and no heavy layers of clothes, and for the warmer months it’s a temperature where you can be outside and not be chilly nor sweaty/sticky. I think we are lucky in G.B. to have a temperate, mild climate most of the time but I love those days when the ‘Goldilocks’ zone is given to us and we are ‘just right’.

Have a pleasant Sunday folks. Thundery showers forecast here to spoil the otherwise ‘T shirt zone’ temperature of 20 degrees.

I was quite comfortable today at 21° @AuntyRach. I'm wearing a summer dress that has 3/4 sleeves.

Friends came for lunch today, we had a good time.
