That's an amusing nickname @Dovefromabove. Reminds me of one of my BILs. I call my OH the human dustbin sometimes which stems back to being one of 5 brothers, all fighting one another for any leftovers.
I thought you might be interested to hear about the wife of one of OH's nephews (a social worker in her 50's)who has just graduated again after many years of adult study, for a specialized children's protection degree (not sure of the exact name), whilst also bringing up four boys! Much credit to her.
Hello everyone. My sympathies for all of you that seem to be suffering from medical emergencies and problems either for themselves or other family members, for domestic problems or mishaps etc etc. Sending hugs and prayers that life will calm down a bit for you all very soon. Fingers crossed for the festival @didyw, hope the sun shines for you after all your hard work. I'm waiting on a phone call from some medical dept. Hoping to get some help in sorting out my digestive problems, but not holding out much hope, still they are trying. Have a good afternoon folks.
Hi again, not a pharmacist @Lizzie27, but a lab scientist but you pick things up from the Medics on the way. I also meant to say that while most of us avoid taking these things as much as possible, I have been told more than once, that if you need them then take them at full dose but for a definite course say 3-5 days as required. Much more effective than taking them ad hoc. As always, go with your doctors advice because they have full details of your situation. As it's been wet on and off all day today it has been a day of sorting out things, like changing the water filter under the sink, having another moan at the wardrobe people, another sliding door with "issues " I'm sure you get the picture.
We are back from Daughter 2's. Grandchildren are lovely but it's good to be home. I've picked a huge tomato, 2 cucumbers and a helping of runner beans. More tomatoes will be ready any minute.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I wish my toms were ready @Busy-Lizzie, we've only had one tiny cherry one so far and have only a few flowers on the runner beans. It looks like no raspberries either unless the sun makes an appearance.
