Just found a Cobra bean - almost as tall as me - it wasn't there yesterday
On a slightly different note, I have a large dustbin sized container in which I've been growing Purple climbing beans. I'm also growing Oregon Sugar Pod peas in a raised bed some 30 feet away. One of the bean plants has suddenly produced a bunch of purple Sugar Pod peas at the base whilst higher up, the normal beans continue to grow. The oddities are sadly not that good - they have the "snap" trait but a slightly furry skin and taste quite bitter. Not a hybrid worth crowing about
I keep forgetting to take photo of my harvests from my garden in Dordogne. I've had lots of tomatoes of various sizes, lettuces, runner beans, green beans, cougettes, cucumbers, 17 sweetcorn, raspberries, peaches, figs, mirabelles, purple plums and today I've just picked some sweet peppers and remembered to take a photo before cutting them up for the freezer. The freezer is full.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Picked a load of Cobra beans yesterday which surprised us as we thought they had finished. More flowers on there, so will keep checking. But the "Lady Di" surpass them with over 1kg yesterday and many more to come.
Yorkshire, ex Italy and North East coast. Growing too old for it!

I may save them for Halloween 😁
My 'courgettes' - at least I got one right..

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
It has nothing to do with me -they were hiding deliberately!!
