Our Harvest 2023

LynLyn Posts: 23,190
Thought we should have a new Harvests thread.
I’ve nothing to show,  we’ve eaten almost all the winter carrots and have been picking strawberries for a few weeks.
Still have some Spring Green in the GH which will have to come out soon to make way for the tomatoes.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Thanks for starting this thread @Lyn. I'm hoping that the loganberries and strawberries will be ready in a few weeks.

I have one ripe raspberry. We have  today finished the last of the fruit in the freezer from last year.

Picked lots of salad ( rocket, various "mustards", parsley and 3 lettuce leaves ), 9 strawberries - not exactly a fantastic haul but other stuff coming along.  This E wind isn't helping tho :(

Been picking various salad leaves for months in the polytunnel and then from March outside as well. Had good pickings of lovely strawberries the last few weeks. Had BIG radishes for lunch last week and more ready to harvest. Agree with @philippasmith2 the wind is terrible. It dries everything out so quickly but we may have some peas ready soon.

Just picked some more radishes...smaller now for lack of rain but not woody so all is eaten.

@bertrand-mabel Thanks for the radish pic ( tho you could have saved 1 for me )  ;) as it reminds me I have to sow some this week.

Just had our first ever rhubarb made into a galette, delicious. The first of this year's strawberries from the greenhouse are in the fridge beside the cream for later.

So far this year we've had, spinach, lettuce, radish, spring onions, mini cucumbers and rhubarb. Strawberries are just starting to turn red. We could do with some rain but at least the dry weather has kept the slugs at bay.
