    I used to have 'Amber'.. I got it when it first came out after winning at Chelsea, it started off beautifully, but disappeared on me.. things often do here for various reasons..  hope it  does better for you, I'm sure it will..

    I like your 'Queen Mother' very much, I've not seen that one before..

    I bought Queen Mother from Thorncroft Clematis online. Seems a nice healthy plant.

    @JessicaS, your Spring Sensation certainly lives up to its name! I didn’t realise that you could buy male or female versions of certain clematis. How do you know which is which?

    I’ve just visited Thorncroft website which explains about male and female varieties. Very useful to know. We never stop learning, especially on this forum!😉

    Just ordered, received and planted a new Clematis in my garden, C. patens 'Caroline'. Incidentally the name of my daughter. Looking forward to its promised lovely pink! Anyone here has it?
