Good to hear your daughter is better @chicky. It is such a relief to hear good news from them, you must be relieved she is in a decent hotel. See? she is sensible.
@Busy-Lizzie Let them throw the first stone those here who have !never! gone to the shops for something and got back with something garden related instead. 😂
Feeling so much better today. Got taken out for breakfast this morning, and had a very short stroll at the Donkey Sanctuary. Then sat on a bench in the sun while OH had a brisk walk round the nearest fields. Had to restrain myself from buying any plants from the gift shop. They have a lovely selection of very tempting plants, but I won’t be fit enough to get them into the ground. I also would need OH to carry them for me, and he would of course be the voice of reason ( why do you need yet another plant?) I’ll just have to wait until I’m ready to do planting, and sneak them into the car like I usually do! Just watched a fascinating programme in the Made in Britain series, rape seed oil from field to bottle. I had no idea! I see the flowers in the fields, and use the oil, but hadn’t actually thought about how one becomes the other.
Good morning, Dove! Lovely sunny morning here. OH has brought me a cup of peppermint tea. Planning a repeat of yesterday, a gentle stroll and then a rest on a bench with a view. I could do the same at home, of course, but here I’d see all the jobs I’m not supposed to be doing, and I wouldn’t find that very relaxing at all!
Good morning everyone, what happened to our lovely spring weather. It turned wet and dreich yesterday morning. When we went to meet OH'S daughter at a different GC in the afternoon, and though it had dried up the wind was so cold, we had to retreat to the coffee shop to warm up. Today I have 32 brassica plug plants to put in, they arrived in the post yesterday, I don't want to have to pot them up so they will be going straight out. Have a good day.
This afternoon's forecast rain has been cancelled.
We are going to a flower show in a village about an hour away which is about 5 minutes from where we lived in the 80's when we first moved to France. It's a very pretty village and the flower show has become well known. http://www.floralies-saintjean.fr/

I don't know @Dovefromabove, there will be a lot of people there. I expect @D0rdogne_Damsel will be too busy on a Saturday. There weren't many English people in that area when we moved there. I had a couple of French friends, one moved to Brittany and the other died from breast cancer.
