@D0rdogne_Damsel, it sounds as though you are well on your way, I guess you just have to grit your teeth and let the process roll on. I recall my wife's uncle (who lived in Gravacon) tell us of all the hours spent at the notaries office after his wife died and he wanted his daughter to inherit the house. In the end he sold up and moved back to the UK for his final years when his health started to fail, but they couldn't have known that at the time .
I guess all the paperwork is because you are separated from Charlie's dad @D0rdogne_Damsel
Yes notaires are notoriously 😉 expensive. Naughty though for the sellers not to have done all the deeds' transfers on time. Well, at least there is no gozumping.
We went to the market then the SM just before the rain started. I bought plants and a rose, The Pilgrim, at the market, good thing I took my trolley. Forgot the loo rolls
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Forgot the soap dish too @D0rdogne_Damsel, OH broke the one in the utility room. Can't help it, I'm a plantaholic. My yellow rose bit of the orchard border is full, I'll have to dig out some more lawn

@didyw I have just this second had a message from littlest Chicklet saying she is up and about for the first time in days. They sensibly moved from a noisy backpackers hostel to a hotel where she could recover in peace and relative luxury. £19 a night for the two of them (including breakfast) hopefully won’t break the bank. I’m mightily relieved.
Matt Pottage was amazing - looking forward to my next trip to Wisley 😀
Mulching today - very late, but my back issues stopped me from getting it done any earlier. There’s still PLENTY of moisture to lock in the soil and smothering the weeds is Uber-satisfying.

Ha, ha @Busy-Lizzie, that's what you went for really, loo rolls, fancy coming back with a rose instead.

We went to our most favourite place in the world … the Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts … we had lunch in their very good restaurant and then spent time in their current big exhibition … https://www.sainsburycentre.ac.uk/whats-on/empowering-art-indigenous-creativity-and-activism-from-north-americas-northwest-coast/ Amazing, and brilliantly presented.
