What's happening with high grove now? Is that just one of his spare, tax payer funded, homes?
Highgrove on its own generates an income by paying visitors and merchandising. It’s the King’s private property.
Does NO public money go to it at all, not even for maintenance?

    That's not what William said.
    it's what Harry said.
Yes but he was born to always be second, less important and his perspective is twisted by that position. Which is my point. No one could tolerate the difference that arises purely due to an accident of timing. All the second in lines have gone loco in the last few generations - Margaret, Andrew, Harry. Pity poor Charlotte. And the first in line's only job is produce children. They serve no actual function beyond procreation. Which is how you end up with Diana and the appalling way she was treated (and behaved). It's anachronistic (to the point of prehistoric), absurd and cruel, it's designed to fail and for what purpose? So we can pat ourselves on the back about the empire we used to own? To convince ourselves that tourists love to see some frowsty old bloke in a shiny coach? To give us an excuse to get the bunting out now and then? Surely we can think of something better to use as an excuse for cake?

I'm not the demanding sort. Just receipt of a bar of chocolate will do.

I can probably find you a receipt for a bar of chocolate. The actual chocolate might be more difficult
    That might save the waistline!!
The receipt I can shred, and compost!!

Now I like the idea of a king Andrew - that being my name.  :)
Hells Bells I hope that doesn't mean you will want me to curtsy before replying to any of your posts @rowlandscastle444 If I even attempted to do that, I'd never get upright again and you would simply have to step over ( or on ? ) me   :D:D

Dear King Andrew,  I do actually make my own chocs ( far better than bought stuff ) so I will bear your Royal Command in mind  :D

I remember Princess Diana stating that she was going to treat both ‘her boys’ exactly the same … there lies the root of a lot of unhappiness … they were never going to be the same …

if that bloody awful family had treated Diana with an ounce of decency, things might be very different now.
She became more famous, more beautiful and more loved than the rest of them put together.

Have you accepted the invitation @Hostafan1? It might be fun, there might be sausage rolls, cheese scones and cake.  :)

The author of the book on 'King' Charles was interviewed on GB News a few days ago and I emailed him, suggesting he might like to see the wide ranging views of Forum members.  He's Robert Jobson -  or was it Jobsworth.
