Have the monarchy, if it's to your taste but lose the pomp. Spend the money on something that will benefit the population in years to come. Who really benefits from commemorative tat made in China? Wave a homemade flag at Charlie being pushed down the The Mall in a wheelbarrow. He'd still be king.
No, @Hostafan1, I'm writing about you and people who share your view.
You wrote "history is made every single day. I have no intention of watching any of it." So, since you 'have no intention of watching any of it' does that not imply (shout, even) that you 'will not see' ? And by extension, 'will not hear' ?
When there's always biscuits in the tin, where's the fun in biscuits ?

and YOU will not see that £250,000,000 spent on the coronation of a lying , cheating adulterer is a waste of money.

Well, that's your opinion .... note OPINION ... and you are prefectly entitled to it and I respect it. Perhaps you might respect mine ? And other people's too ?
Lots of lying, cheating adulterers out there. Probably a lot on this forum. Careful you don't alienate them.

there are indeed, but they don't have £250,000,000 of tax payers' money spent on them for a day of vanity
This is a tradition, it is not nonsense. It is hundreds of years of Kings and Queens doing the same, it's our history and it is a part of this Island's heritage and it isn't wrong to want to carry this tradition forth into the future.
From what I understand, King Charles is changing what he can about the event and his role to make it more modern and in keeping with our times. His life is what it is, as ours are what we made of them. We have all made mistakes or done things we are not proud of, does that make us a bad 'un for ever? I think not.

I can’t feel anything for something I don’t understand.
