Interested enough to watch It on TV
I will be watching it and have already put the bunting up 😁.

I do think it’s a lot of money but I also think spending nearly 20k on a wedding or nearly 4K on funeral is a waste of time and money.

I was watching something where people were on about how much it’s costing, saying how the cost of all the military and police was taken into account. Won’t these people be getting paid anyway?

Waste of money . Shrug shoulders
No.  They have to call in police etc from their days off and pay them extra.  They get them from other areas leaving other locations light on coverage.  I also think people spending lots on funerals and weddings can be an unnecessary expense.  The difference is they are spending their own money Not Mine!!!!  As far as I'm concerned Charlie Boy could have his glory day if he paid for it himself out of his vast wealth.

All those tiny plastic flags, string, plastic partyware, balloons etc etc, all going to landfill.. or hedges, or water, or fields... utterly contemptible and for what reason?
The last Union Flag I bought was made in Chatham Dockyard, by British people, putting the cash back into the economy. I keep my flags for years. The last flag I had that was made overseas, was a Hong Kong flag.
I understand what you are saying, but don't most of us buy things from abroad - or at least have done over the years, and ended up throwing them away?
What we need is recyclable items - or keep them for ages. I still have my flags, but am guilty of buying other stuff, including items made in China.

Maybe they could sell Highgrove to cover the costs?

The BBC should broadcast the coronation at the same time as filming someone vomiting, and see who gets the most hits.
The vomit could be used in a nature programme afterwards.

    Neutral.
It would be totally wrong and unconstitutional for the monarch to pay to crown themselves!
That's exactly how I would write the rules if I was in charge too o:)

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

From what I read here it seems that very few people were taught anything about how the UK constitution works when they were at school.
I don't think you were taught about the difference between the English and Scottish constitution. The English king is king of England. The Scottish king is king of Scots. We can remove him if we choose to do so.  A major difference.

@Balgay.Hill .... I do indeed remember being told that, although not at school ... don't think I've said otherwise ... if I have I beg my Scottish relatives' pardon.  Those who know me will know I have a Scottish first name ...   :)
