I've had an early start because they were supposed to be coming to change the telephone system over early this morning, still waiting, getting more impatient and feeling trapped, lots of errands to do and stuck here until the technician arrives. Why do they give you a time and then arrive two hours later.....
Spoke to estate agent this morning, she is trying her best to get some progress made on the legal aspects that are a sticking point, promises me should be sorted by the end of the week.... errm, where have I heard that before?
As you can probably tell, not in the best mood already this morning.
I have also been coerced into going to see Charlie's dad in hospital this evening too, he is in again for a week of further tests. It's an hour away, so two hour round trip after a long day at work, I've no idea why I can't ever seem to say no to him. He telephoned saying how bored he was, and if I popped over it would make all the difference otherwise he'll have gone 7 days without seeing a soul..... I really just wanted to say "if you were a nice person you would have a queue of caring friends coming to visit...."
Anyway, enough moaning, the weather forecast is looking good to today so once the fog has burned off I hope to see some sunshine.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Another bright sunny morning here in Norfolk … so far … 🤞 Today I’m taking son to see his GP down in Suffolk and then to lunch at his friend’s lovely café.
Wow @tui34 - that looks like a page from a magazine!
There's nothing like a good night's sleep is there, @coccinella for making the next day seem brighter.
I'm exhausted just thinking about all that work you have ahead of you @Suesyn - but will enjoy seeing your progress pics.
Could something come up at the last minute to prevent you having to make the trip to your coercive and controlling ex @D0rdogne_Damsel? Perhaps the telephone people will arrive just as you were getting ready to set off.
Heads down over the laptop all day for me today. The deadline for the funding bid is tomorrow and there are still lots of quotes and costs for me to gather up and then turn my text into something compelling that will make the funders see that what we are doing is brilliant value for money and wonderful for the community.
I will confess that I personally am not planning on doing any earth moving, my role is likely to be holding things in place while someone else pours cement in a hole and holding a spirit level while OH screws fence to the post. My part is more to do the research to ensure the plants are right for the space (and to try to find plants that won't get nibbled by the kangaroos ). My son lives in Gympie, which is sub tropical, about 150k from Brisbane and about 75k from the coast. He's been here 20+years. It does get very hot but at the moment it is reasonably cool, I think today was 18c. When we were here at Christmas several days it was over 40c but the locals were complaining that it was generally a cold summer!
wish it was 18c here @Suesyn! Lashing down with rain again. We're promised 15c tomorrow which I'll believe when I feel it.
Hope @coccinella's tests go okay. The medics will probably give you a mild sedative if you ask before your procedure.
I walked to the shops this morning, fortunately before the rain started whilst OH scarified the front lawn, following the visit from the Green Thumb chappie. We really should have done it before now but it's been so wet and cold over the last month or so.
Good luck with the funding application @didyw, hope it all goes well. I echo didyw's suggestion @D0rdogne_Damsel, don't fall for emotional blackmail, just don't go.
Hope Rob gets the ok from his GP @Dovefromabove, I do envy you the sunshine.
Ironing for me this afternoon I think whilst it's raining so I'd better get on with it.
Wow @Suesyn that really is a project, but an exciting one. Hope you have safely arrived in Wiltshire @Busy-Lizzie, have an enjoyable couple of days with your friends. Hope the news is good for Rob @Dovefromabove and that lunch was a success. Glad you had a better night @coccinella, and hope that all your laptop work proves a success for you @didyw. Drizzly rain here today, day for house work as G/daughter and partner are coming for the weekend. It's a good job we have visitors sometimes else, apart from the kitchen and bathrooms, we would rarely get round to cleaning all the unseen nooks and crannies!
I am afraid I wasn't brave enough to duck the visit, I just feel so sorry for him, not a friend in the world. I wish I was hard enough to say, not my problem.
On a sort of positive note, I have a meeting arranged with the notaire to sign for the house on the 11th of May, because of the death of the mother all the paperwork has to be re-written, and this is the earliest date they can come up with. I was hoping for sooner, but at last, at least I have a date. Ever closer...
On a completely different note, I have decided that all the blue iris out at the moment go beautifully with large 'blousy' orange tulips and I am definitely going to get a whole load of both for my new garden.... if I ever get it.
I can't remember all the words @AnnaB, but there is a lovely little poem called Dust if you Must.... and I'm pretty sure planting a seed is higher up in the list of important things to do before dusting.
Anyway, good evening to all.

Good luck for today @coccinella.
Bon voyage @Busy-Lizzie and OH.
And 'bon courage' @Suesyn.

You sound so much more cheerful @coccinella. I'm glad you are feeling better.
Good luck with the garden @Suesyn, it looks a big job.
We are off to Wiltshire later this morning, then ferry to France on Saturday night.

Meant to say earlier, hope those of you with medical whatnots have an easier time today 🤗
