    Good morning allĀ  :) ā˜•ļøĀ
We had a quiet night and now it’s a bright sunny morning here in norfolk. Ā I need to get a move on as the car has to go to the garage for an MOT and service.Ā

    Hope @Busy-Lizzie is ok …

  • Morning all,

I know I seem to have been AWOL again, but I am managing to keep up with you all, just no time to post.

Glad to hear about recoveries @Busy-Lizzie and @Dovefromabove but shame about your holiday @punkdoc and your arthritis @Yviestevie. My fingers are becoming more and more deformed and I fear I have that to face in the future too.Ā

Nice to hear people are getting out and about in the garden more, I am just frustrated I am not going to be in the new house this spring, more red tape to deal with, not on my side luckily, but still a delay. The owner is paying someone to mow the grass so I am hoping it won't get too wild.Ā

I am staying at Charlie's dad's house whilst they are away, cat sitting. I have pottered a bit in his garden, but find it very difficult, it was my garden and as you know I spent hours there, but he does nothing but chop trees and bushes down and the poor flower beds are so neglected. A little bit of weeding would make all the difference. He's cut all the hydrangeas down to about six inches, chopped a beautiful Indian Bean Tree down, a lovely holly tree near the entrance too, I've no idea why, it must be a macho man thing going around with his chain saw. Very sad.Ā

Anyway, I mustn't fester, hopefully I will have my own garden again soon. I do look after the garden at Chateau de Gateaux too, although that is a lot of low maintenance stuff for practical reasons. A little place of my own is going to be so welcome.Ā

Sunny and bright here, but a cold wind. Paperwork day for me in the main, although I have to cover 12 till 2 pm in the restaurant as one waitress is off on holiday. I feel I am getting to grips with paperwork at the moment, even managed to switch Gas, Electricity and Telephone to a better supplier this week. Still not my favourite chore, give meĀ  a cake to bake any day.Ā

Good day to all, happy gardening.

    Hi all

No sign of the promised sunshine here.
Glad you are getting help, @Hostafan1
@Busy-Lizzie, I think you should still see a Dr., diverticulitis can become serious.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

Hope the red tape gets cleared up soon @D0rdogne_Damsel - you must be itching to get in there.

My back has been giving me gip for a few months - after a weeding incident last November that never really recovered. Ā Went to an osteopath yesterday, who tied me in knots and made something ā€œpopā€ - and I feel better this morning than I have in weeks. Ā šŸ¤žšŸ» it lasts, as I have a mulch mountain in the driveway that needs moving very soon.

Dementia centre this afternoon and then new tyres for my car …..fun fun fun 🄳

I have made an appointment to see my GP in France when I get back @punkdoc. If there are investigations of any sort they will be done quickly there and colonoscopies are done under general anaesthetic. I'm a lot better now though still a slightly tender spot on lower left.

Friends have invited us to lunch today so I must get on with some gardening this morning. It's sunny, has been for the last few days, but rain is coming from Thursday. I have lost gardening time through being unwell.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • All quiet on here today, unless you're all on another thread...

Another busy day, but happy to be partaking of an apéro now.

The idea of being able to do this in my own home whenever I choose is tantalising..... Never has my patience been tried so much.Ā

  • I'm thinking out loud, ( and daydreaming) .... I've been loving seeing so many tulips in bloom, I'm planning on lots of containers around my front door, can't decide between a regulated en masse group of all red ones or a whole range of orange/peach and yellow ones.... I know I'm ahead of myself but thoughts please, I've seen both and they're all gorgeous.
