    Morning Forkers

Still in pain with my back. I think I will have to go to the doctor.Ā

@Hostafan1 I get that all the time. Do something today and suffer later, but what is the alternative? I'd rather be thinking positive and enjoy the activity than sitting around moaning about what I can't do. I think you were right in moving the banana. I hope they solve the other issue with your tummy ache.

@Dovefromabove all your hard work is paying off. I am glad that he is getting better, just remember the toll that this must be having on you and treat yourself from time to time.Ā

I wonder if under gardener will come with me to the nursery, someone has to put plants in the boot. šŸ˜†

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
Hope those with aches and pains have a better day today. Son has IBS and he said one of the nurses said she found that Aloe Vera from Holland & Barrett really helped her with the gripey symptoms.Ā

A settled night for all … son didn’t wake for the the pain meds he could’ve had from 2:30am onwards , and is still sleeping ā€˜peacefully’  … yesterday was a tiring day tor him, physically and emotionally… especially visiting the wonderful staff in the ICU Burns Unit. šŸ’™Ā

Today should be a quiet day … OH will be at work … a friend is visiting this afternoon and I’ll make sausage, mash and beans for supper at son’s request.Ā

I have found peppermint oil capsules helpful, and they are recommended on IBS websites.

Morning folks. The sun is out here!Ā

Having a coffee outside and Ā the cat who visits our garden has come to say hello.Ā

I must sow some more seeds today as they should germinate with the sunny spells forecast this week. Cosmos and poppies I think.Ā

I’ve also found peppermint oil capsules very good for tummy cramps, prescribed by GP but also available over the counter. Worth a try.

It's been a horrible night. I was in so much pain I rang 111. They asked lots of questions and an hour later a nurse rang and asked the questions again. She said I needed to talk to a doctor. 2 hours later a doctor rang. She was nice but Indian, I think, and I had trouble understanding her. She thought it was probably diverticulitis and said I should be examined by a doctor. She said if it got worse I should go to A&E but if I could wait until morning there was a health centre in Thetford who would ring me for an appointment. By then the worst pain was over.

Another problem is that our phone isn't working properly, it doesn't ring, just does 3 little beeps. It did that this morning but I didn't pick it up in time. I looked up the health centre and the website says it's shut for the weekend.

I feel stuck now, don't want to go to A&E and spend 2 days on a trolley like NDN. She waited 15 hrs for an ambulance. The hospital is 40 mins drive away, I don't feel up to it and OH hasn't driven since his op though he probably could. I'll see if I can wait until Monday.

    Sorry to bore you all.

@Busy-Lizzie, if it is diverticulitis, it can be serious, and imo you should be seen by a Dr.

Perhaps a friend could run you to the Centre or hospital @Busy-Lizzie, have the Buscopan not helped at all?
