Morning all and G’day @Pat E. Cats definitely won’t be able to wait the extra hour for food will they - mine start circling me, burr’ing and tapping me if I’m late with a meal (or indeed if they just fancy trying for extra).
I put a wash on early today as a dry day with sunny spells was forecast, however, it’s quite dull and the Sun symbol has disappeared from the forecast.
Still very wet here. Open the seeds' packets yesterday, there is always hope in a tray of seeds I think. Salvia, sweet peas, cosmos purity, cavolo nero. The rest of my seed box will go straight in situ when is a lot warmer. Today we are having brunch with friends and will look at photos of our recent trip to NI together.
Good morning everyone, dull but dry here too. I heard someone on the radio, saying that we should adjust our sleep by 10- 15 minutes a day over several days in the run up to the clock change, rather than trying to do it in one jump. Maybe you could do the same with Pixels feeding times @Pat E . Not sure what I will do today, still a bit creaky from yesterday but still lots to do in garden and on the plots.
Went to visit Chicklet in her new/my old flat yesterday. Very strange experience that made me feel a bit wobbly to start with 😂. But that soon passed, and it was good helping her settle in.
For once its not raining so I’m going to have another go at tidying up my borders. 4 cubic meters of mulch arriving the week after Easter - so the race is on to get them ready.
Many seeds on the go - a lovely part of spring 🌱🌱🌱
Morning all, I was also hoping for sunshine @AuntyRach but it's grey and quite cold here. I'll maybe wait until after lunch before venturing out if it's still dry.
Son is back here and had a very enjoyable day/evening out with his mate. He's just having a shower now then we'll have lunch before he goes off home. OH is out for the day so I can potter around to my heart's content. I've put off bedlinen washing until tomorrow when I hope it will be sunnier. Hoping to get it all dry outside.
I remember our cat doing just the same @Pat E when he fancied a treat. Happy days.
I bet that did feel strange walking round your old flat @chicky. Hope chicklet gets settled in quickly.
Hi fellow forkers, another busy morning in the garden for me. Cutting/edging front lawn, weeding borders, clipping box and pittosporum. Green bin is now full for collection on Tuesday. I think I'll be relaxing on the sofa for the rest of the day. I've grown strawflower 'Pierrot' from seed for the first time this year and the seeds germinated in less than 48 hours, never had such a quick germination before.
After a cold grey start, has turned out really nice. I have been sitting out in the garden watching my pair of Mallards on the pond and 3 Buzzards circling above. rather wonderful.
