Good morning all. Drizzling here but I have a houseful for lunch so best not to be tempted to garden. Warm though and it will do the garden good. We moved an elder tree last week and it’s struggling a bit. Nothing like rain to help plants to establish is there?
Rosie, I have to agree, it is definitely cooler this morning and yes, Biglad, it was raining here in the early hours and it looks quite damp outside. Ante, I've just heard the weather forecast and they are talking about wintry conditions over the higher areas so it sounds a little like where you are. I hope that your growing plans are not set back too badly.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning Debs, you weren't there when I posted. You will have a super time with all the family around. I had to smile when it rained last night as I had just watered some plants in pots that are waiting to go into their permanent positions. I accept no responsibility for causing the rain though! After breakfast I am going to finish off building the chest of drawers I have got for my craft stuff.

Yesterday we walked through our rather linear village with OH, longest walk he's done so far. There were several people gardening in their front gardens. I did some gardening when we got back. Seeded some bare holes in the middle lawn and weeded and edged the laurel tree bed. I shifted an astrantia Claret as a polemonium was too close.
It's raining. We are going to the SM to get cat food for NDN's cat. Then to a GC as I want to buy some herbs. There is a big old Butler's sink on an old meat safe cupboard on the back patio which I'd like to fill with herbs. Also need some blood, fish and bone.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning all, like so many of you, we’ve had rain through the night and it’s now quite cloudy, so I think we are going to have more. A fairly lazy day ahead, I think, although the morning chatter group is going ahead this morning so I’ll pop along to that for coffee and chat, then depending on the weather, I will decide what to do next.
I hope you all have a good day, whatever the weather brings.
Morning all. Red Maple, I love the idea of a Chatter a group, I could easily belong to one of those😂 The sun is trying to get out here this morning and it's not as chilly outside as it was yesterday. We are going to the SM, then a garden centre and then to the famous DIY store for some gravel. Driveway in need of topping up. Some early birds here today, hope you keep going through the day. Enjoy.
Good morning Busy, Red Maple and Hazel. Well, as expected, it is tipping down here so indoor jobs to be done. The forecast for the week is grim and I'm on Food Bank duties on Thursday so would really prefer a dry day.
Busy, it is good to read that your OH is managing to get a little bit further with each walk he is doing. Onwards and upwards!
Red maple enjoy your chatter group. Sounds like good fun.
Hazel, busy dashing about again. I hope that there are not too many people with the same idea as you! I wonder what plants may tempt you today!

Think I may have done my outside stint for the day. Happily potting up baby strawberry plants in the sunshine one minute, chasing plant pots and garden furniture around in a sudden squall the next. It's gone dark
SM was heaving, DIY store heaving, family garden centre empty, and camping shop middling to fair. We whizzed round everywhere and on the way home we noticed the roads were filling up with traffic, all going in the opposite direction to us🙂 It has just started raining here so outside jobs on hold for the time being. LB, we picked up six more Bidens( 3x hot and spicy and 3x Spotlight and also a ( dwarf) yellow erysimum ( Spring Feeling)). We do not need anymore plants!
I had a walk with Dad raining but not as cold. When we arrived back it absolutely poured it down. Ante, I know, I know😁. Just swapped a couple of pictures round. One in the bedroom and one in the kitchen, seem more suitable there. Just had some of Dads home baked bread with seeds, oats and a pinch of nutmeg. Debs enjoy lunch with your family. Busy enjoy looking for plants and Hazel no room for more until the next time😁.
