Hi folks,  Spent the last few days with Secondborn and the boys.  The trip to London went down well.  A beautiful day, trains on time and a great time was had at the Natural History Museum and the open topped bus tour.  The only problem was that we had to run (and I mean run) for the Euston train on the way home.  I didn't know I could still run and the body has gone into shock.  Don't think I've ever ached as much as I did yesterday.  Today I'm feeling a bit better and I've managed to treat the back lawn, move some plug plants into the greenhouse and get things ready to sow more seeds.
Think it will take another couple of days to get back to normal.

Afties all. Busy times now done but we had a great time with 23 this morning, despite the very early rising! Then we popped to SM for the weekly shop and dropped into a local family run garden place for a browse. Came out with geometry's, three Bidens ( hot and spicy) three diascia and a couple of other plants. In totals we have 11 new plants to get planted out or potted up. Hope to get this done over the weekend when the weather improves.
Have spoken to doctors surgery too and updated them, ( much to my delight) and will never go through anyone but the doctor in the future.
Yvie, I'm so glad you and the boys had a lovely time in London and enjoyed the places you visited....despite the unexpected run.

    Hello all.

Glad it's sorted out about the doctor, Hazel.

LB the stay in the hotel will be in July on our way back from the next trip, ferry from Dieppe. End of April we are taking an overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Caen. Caen isn't as far from my house as Dieppe.

I've bought tickets for the Hampton Court Flower Show with a night in a nearby B&B  :D

I took OH out for a light lunch today. It was raining, but now the sun has come out.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Good afternoon all. Yvie, I am so pleased that you had such a wonderful time in London and that the boys enjoyed the dinosaur experience. I am with you on the 'running' thing. I reckon my body would have been in shock too!
Hazel, I can usually translate the predictive text howlers but you will have to explain the geometry's please. Diascia are such pretty plants and they seem to flower forever. So pleased that you have sorted out the surgery snarl up. I have had a look in my garden for any signs of Verbena bonariensis. It is very difficult as the celandines I mentioned the other day are just like a sea of green over everything but as yet, I cannot see any signs of my VB. I seem to think that they just appeared as out of nowhere last year. Their dead stems are still marking the spot. Don't give up on yours yet.
Busy, that sounds a better trip then. How lovely to have the Hampton Court Flower Show booked too. I am thinking about booking Tatton Flower Show again and have also got tickets for the Southport Flower Show.

Ah LB, I'm really sorry about these blooming spelling mistakes. I'm fed up with myself about them as I don't  always have a lot of time to read it over before posting( and so feel a bit foolish 😩). I think I was saying we had bought two ferns ( believe it for not).
    I'm signing off for today,night all.Have a good evening.

Oh heavens Hazel. You don't need apologise. I am willing to bet that we have all had an hilarious experience with predictive text - I remember sending a text that was supposed to say something was 'excellent' and predictive text changed it to 'excrement'. My Bestie thought I was using a polite word for s**t and couldn't understand the message at all. We roared with laughter once it was spotted. I have a friend, Dianne, and in predictive text I ended up sending a message to 'Diarrhoea'. My bloopers are endless. Thank you for translating the 'ferns' though I am signing out for tonight you lovely people. See you all in the morning.

    Morning all,

    Delete-a-thon complete - hotmail operational :D

Snuck out for a 'good' hour yesterday afternoon and delivered another 300 poll cards. Tallied up - 550 left to do over the long weekend. Might get to see my garden soon!

Good morning Biglad and all to follow.

I'm also up early, despite I have whole day free. One, and most important reason for that is my little cat. She is jumping all over the room. I was on the balcony and it's still cold, but sky is clear, so it might be sunny day. First must feed my pets, then cup of tea.
