Topbird, I'm very unhappy about the way things have panned out at our surgery, such a dreadful let down. I'll be doing some serious thinking when I feel better and am less busy.
Anyone growing an established Verbena Bonsarensis? We have one which is in its second year but it has no growth showing at ground level or at the base of any stems. Is this normal please? Our other younger one has new growth coming out of stem near soil level.
Hazel I’m glad that you can now have direct contact with the specialist. These things can be distressing. I remember a rather aggressive nurse ringing me shouting at me and telling me I hadn’t had a stroke when in fact I’ve had two. She was so rude and I was quite shaken up. The neurologist confirmed by letter that I had had two strokes. The nurse in question I won’t see as you shouldn’t have to put up with it. Just up after a few hours rest. I’ll see what I can rustle up for tea. Lily it’s really good your oh enjoyed the visit although it can be tiring. I hope you both get some rest. Enjoy your evening everyone.
Hazel, I have some in my garden so I'll look tomorrow before I go to get my hair cut - weather permitting.
Rosie, how very rude of that nurse. Hope that you managed to rustle up something delicious for your tea. I am signing out for today. See you all tomorrow.

Rosie, that's a terrible experience to go through. It's the questioning of our own knowledge that I find infuriating and rudeness with it, is awful. I feel for you in that situation, it does leave you shaken and has a bad effect doesn't it? I most certainly wouldn't be seeing that nurse again either, I'd be keeping well away. I feel a bit like towards the surgery now, just had enough of it all now. OH and I dropped in on a garden centre on our way back from the hospital today and treated ourselves to a rose, Golden 50th Wedding Anniversary from Harkness.( our 50th wedding anniversary is later on this year) I don't have much luck with roses at all so am giving this one a last go and hope I can grow it okay. LB, thanks.
@Biglad I've just had that problem with Hotmail too. They changed it in February but you can pay for more storage of emails. I didn't want to so I've deleted loads. The ones that take up most room are the ones with photos and attachments. I had stacks from when I was church warden and loads of emails to and from family full of photos.
We've been quite busy, booked our next trip from France to Norfolk and back, Dieppe Newhaven ferry. We'll spend a weekend with OH's daughter and also see my sister who will be celebrating her birthday. On the way back I've booked a hotel near a pretty French town en route as the ferry gets in at 4pm and I don't want a 7 hr drive that late. Ryanair have got much more expensive and the trains keep going on strike.
Then we did the weekly shop.
This afternoon I did more moss raking and sowed more grass seed on the lawn in the front and I sowed grass in the back where the moles had made a mess last year.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I'm getting there with my deleting frenzy! 1GB to go...
Starting early today on the basis that if I get it all done for the week, I might be able to get some more cards delivered this afternoon/evening. The best laid plans and all that
Morning Biglad and all to follow. I’m already washed and dressed, sleepy though. Time for some tea. A couple of carpet tiles have broken in the kitchen after using a steamer that said safe to use on tiles, unfortunately broke in several places. Thinking of the cheapest way to sort it. Any ideas?
Good morning all. Up early and girding my loins for the worst day of the year at work. This week has been extremely hectic and stressful already. I am supposed to finish at 2.30 but we will see.
Good morning Biglad, Rosie, debs and all to follow.
Debs, I really hope that today will not be so bad at work. Sorry to hear that you had stressful week so far.
Sunny and cold morning. I don't mind because it's first day of spring break. I must go to the school at 9am, just on a brief meeting, than I'll go to the SM to buy everything for Easter. Now, I'll join Rosie with cup of tea.
Good morning Biglad, Rosie, Debs, Ante and all arriving later.
Busy I knew you had mentioned going to France this month some time ago so it must be quite exciting now that all the plans are in place. It makes sense to have a break through your journey - 7 hours - even if you are sharing the drive is a long haul. When we drive to La Londe we always have a stop over so that we are quite refreshed for the second half of the journey.
Biglad, it must be nice to to be able to have the majority of those two tasks almost completed now. Its another miserable day here so I guess it could be similar where you are. The email task could be on the cards to be finished.
Debs, I do hope that today is not as horrid as you envisage. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Ante - woo hoo. Lots of things for you to do but do take a moment or two to just enjoy your break. I'll join you and Rosie with a cup of tea.
Rosie, I remember you mentioning this before about your floor tiles. First of all I would take pictures of your tiles and send them to the manufacturer of the floor cleaner. I didn't even know carpet tiles could break. I cannot think of a quick repair. Is it possible to get the same tiles still? I guess the easiest thing is to remove the broken tiles and replace them with new ones. The major solution would be to take all the tiles up and re-floor the area.

No - I don't want to pay either @Busy-Lizzie
