We bought an Exochorda today from the garden centre( along with other things). Anyone ever grown one before? They are new to us so have lifted a very nondescript plant we had along a border and planted this exochorda there. It's in full flower at the moment, little white flowers which look lovely.

I have @Songbird-2. I had 2 in my last French garden. Loved them so bought one for my new French garden.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Oh that's pretty @Busy-Lizzie, lovely. Glad we bought it now. It'll make a grand display if it gets that good.👍 Thanks.

Just come in - shattered but managed to get the bigger green bin almost filled. As many have mentioned, I am missing the reappearance of some plants. Still time for some but it is hard to tell with the celandines advancing like a green army across the garden. Lots of bird activities and I have been amused by the blue and great tits grabbing beaks full of the alpaca wool (sorry Al!) they do love it.
Hazel I was sorry to read that 23 is not so well at the moment. Hopefully he bounces right back in time for Easter so he can enjoy his holiday.
Red maple, well done on getting your grass cut. You deserve the 'feet up'!
SGL my Bestie has an airfryer and she swears by it. I have a teeny weeny kitchen which is making me hesitate. Before I started thinking about air fryers I had invested in a 3 pin plug in portable induction single ring hob and I love it. I was inspired by my sister who has one in her van in France. It is extremely economical to run and suits me. I haven't used the gas hob on my cooker since I got it. There are bigger ones which would suit a couple or a family. I love the way that they are cold to the touch around the component part and they cool down quickly after use. You do need special pans - basically they need to be magnetic - and away you go. I think that really modern cookers come already supplied with these.
Busy, it must have been really nice to have that gentle stroll to the pub - with cider at the end too - bonus! Have you heard any more news about your NDN?
What a glorious shrub Hazel and Busy!
Yvie, how are your shoulders after your hard work? I am not averse to using Nytol when I need to get a decent sleep - plus it tastes delicious!

Everything is aching at the moment LB.  Have eaten far too much chocolate to reward myself for all my hard work.

Yvie and Topbird, you've both been very busy, leaves a nice feeling though when getting  on top of the jobs though.
Ive potted on some Little Leo sunflowers today and I am delighted to say i've managed to sown some avert an Bonsarensis seeds which have appeared by the dozen in the windowsill tray. Ive thinned them out a bit as there's loads of them but I a, quite chuffed as I've never sown  them before. The  mother plant is showing no signs of re growth yet either.
LB, apparently 23 slept with his mum last night......🤭
Signing out for today. Hope you all  sleep well tonight folks.
  • LB your cacti are lovely, so colourful.  Hope you’re getting some relief and you’re feeling okay after the other day.  Lily and Hazel I find my air fryer useful if I’m having something hot with salad as a quick meal as I can cook a crisp bake in 11 mins.  Hope all will have a better nights sleep.  Received my postal polling card yesterday.  Busy what a lovely picture looks very healthy.  Hope oh is healing after his op and feels more mobile.  Debs I prefer Prosecco to champagne.  My cat is kneeding my lounger on the bed presently.  Hope you all sleep tonight.  I had to go to bed this afternoon with a migraine and didn’t wake up until 10.15pm but it’s subsiding now and I popped down to the kitchen for a cup of tea.  Night night.

    Evening all,

I've done the vote counting a couple of times @Yviestevie but didn't put my name down this time in case I'd got a proper job by then (which I now have). So when the spare delivery rounds came up, I thought I'd give it a bash. I'm slightly regretting taking quite so many on now though :o

Today didn't go quite as successfully as I'd hoped. I did 6 hours so I was hoping to get over 1000 done. However, I didn't realise quite how posh the posh areas are! Much longer drives so each letterbox took much longer to get to. Anyway, 850 done. I've got 1200 left to do by next Sunday, which won't be enjoyable if it is hissing down at the weekend. If I can sneak away from work whilst it is still light on a fine midweek evening or two, I could whittle it down to a more comfortable final push. Got a lovely big blister on my heel to show for my efforts :D
