@purplerallim, it's not glass, just perspex. I tend to still put it over the rose, mainly on a night, ( but sometimes leave it on in the daytime) as it's in a bit of a windy site. Owing to the configuration of houses around us, we have two wind tunnels down both the left and right hand side of the house. No chance of anything frying here😂
@edhelka - my potted desdemona is doing great in her large pot. I did refresh the top few inches of soil last year. I've not yet repotted it. I think this will be 4th year at leas in the same pot.
The others don't look quite as good. Lady Emma Hamilton has a lot of funny coloured margins, suggesting a deficiency. I need to start liquid feeding with my comfrey juice when I get enough.
Her pot is the smallest, although not really small at 50cm. But the shape means it's not got as much volume as my 55cm and 64cm bell pots.
I thought it was wrong @Elbfee, thanks. You’ve been lucky, many of us have had mix-ups from TCL. Whatever it is I probably won’t keep it, I am awash in that colour.
@Janie B I think your GJ looks fine too, the canes will thicken and it will soon bush out. Here’s a photo of mine from 2018 at a similar stage:
A couple of year’s later:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
I think it has many of the characteristics of DA roses as Graham Thomas is one of its parents. The high petal count, form of the flower and the purported intense orange (though the first few flowers are more peachy apricot) is what attracted me. The fragrance is moderate.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
Munstead Wood likes its new spot in the garden. It’s put on a lot of growth!
I have so many aquilegia which are adding colour.
I even have some new growth on mme alfred carriere
But most of my roses are definitely slow to bloom and are already rife with black spot. Hopefully now that I’ve cleared the blue bells and given them a mulch they will improve!

There is still 3 yet to flower on the right but they are nearly there, pink, orange and yellow?
Looking forward to just spending some time at the weekend just sitting on the patio.
An unfurling bloom on Desdemona too which is elsewhere in the garden
Rhapsody in Blue
Lady of Shalott
Vanessa Bell
Plant shots
GJ and CPM; most of the flowers are over the fence for my neighbour 😄
Edited to add: Cecilia, a Renaissance rose from TW, not much fragrance, but I like the colour and form of the flower.
