@Nollie beautiful Lady Emma (well, before you chucked her in the fryer). Mine has been pretty disappointing in year one... a few blooms in June and no signs that there will be anything else this year. Not head over heels with it.

Lady Em has a good repeat for me @WAMS, my new standard is coming into it’s third flush already, although I’d really rather it didn’t at the moment. OTOH Blue for You has been poor for me so far, half-size single white/pale pink blooms earlier and nothing since. Great colour on yours and Love Song. Hopefully our respective sulkers will pick up next year.

Sorry to hear your Blue for You has done poorly @Nollie , but this yoyo weather has had a slowing effect on mine too.
I have never had powdery mildew on my BfY @WAMS
The second round of flowers are just getting started here. The best blooms are on Sheila's Perfumed,  but it's been the worse for foliage damage. The long wet spell has not been good for alot of the roses leaves. Even Desdemona has been disappointing on both counts.

@purplerallim, it’s been a tricky season both sides of the channel for different reasons, especially for new roses trying to establish. The climate yoyoing is probably only going to get worse, I suspect. I’ll see how BfY does next year, but sun intensity here is really hard on lavender/purple roses so it may or may not suit, ultimately. I do enjoy the experimenting though 😊
