@Marlorena, I was glad to see that your 'Elizabeth' looks like mine, I was getting slightly worried about the puckered leaves but it seems this is what they look like?
@agnasia, I've got two 'Elizabeths' in pots, birthday presents last year from my sister and daughter so I'm hoping they'll be okay.
Absolutely poured down all day so the roses got a good soaking. All we need now is sunshine!
I'm very fond of that Brunnera, I think it goes nice with Chives.. photo from yesterday..
..pretty Wisteria @Mr. Vine Eye pity it got damaged, something for next year... lovely Iris too..
@agnasia Yes you should be ok with Elizabeth in a pot.. the scent got stronger as the season progressed, there wasn't much at first.. roses get better with age in all departments.. I'm finding it a very healthy rose but obviously we've all only had it a year..
Lovely tulips... here's a thing... In my previous garden, circa 2005/6 I planted a row of Tulip 'Red Impression'.. one fabulous tall stemmed red tulip.. in a communal garden border that nobody ever tended except me. We sold in 2009 and I knew the next owner[s] would not tend this border, nor anyone else. I looked on google maps this evening and there is an image taken Spring 2022, and lo and behold those Red Impression tulips are still there flowering away, after all these years.. and I know they've not been touched.. they are exactly where I planted them. The whole border is completely overgrown but the Tulips stand out under what is now an enormous Cotinus 'Grace' which I planted at the same time. So there you go, if you want a perennial red tulip... 'Red Impression' !..
@agnasia, I wasn't quite sure about 'Elizabeth' at first but it is my namesake after all. I had loads of blooms last year, as Marlorena says, the perfume got stronger. Still not quite sure if the colourings quite to my taste but the plant itself seems very healthy and was almost evergreen in my garden over the winter.
@Lizzie27 Some of the leaves are a bit pale due to the cold nights recently,.. just waiting for some warm sun like the rest.. but otherwise yes that's how it is. Showing lots of vigour with strong shoots from low down, very pleased with it..
@Marlorena thanks, interesting the scent gets stronger. I think I need to pay more attention to this, as I like all my roses but I definitely recall preferring one rose’s scent over others. I’m going to have to figure out which one it is! Healthy is good and yes of course it’s a new rose so everyone is learning, I forget that! I wonder what their new roses will be this year.
I love that story about your tulips, how wonderful! That they’ve survived over a decade is just remarkable. Obviously planted with a lot of love and care.
@Lizzie27 may I ask what it is about the colouring you’re not sure on? It sounds very floriferous and healthy which is great.
Oh the wisteria got damaged a few years ago, had to cut it right down to the base and start again. So have had to wait extra long for it to be at a size where it would flower. But good things come...

True Marlorena, roses opened after 2nd week of May last year.. probably its Nollie's fault.. posting beautiful pics
@agnasia mine is in its 3rd year now.. hope will improve with pruning..
For any ailing rose grown in a pot I recommend this product... it works quickly and you will soon see a difference.. used full strength..
