Thanks @Nollie. I have potted it on and found that, despite being constrained in an 8" diametre pot it has several fresh green stems from the roots and loads of new shoots on old stems. Clearly vigorous then.
I don't want anything that vigrous running round the borders but it could go in a gap in my mixed hedge this autumn. Good to know it copes with heat and drought OK and I'll keep an eye out for any mildew.

Well that makes three of us @Nollie who have white flowers on Blue for You! Mine only started last year to produce white ones. It is only on the one cane, and it is the same cane as last year. Its always a spray of both colours on one stem.🤔 It is now 6? years old.
Well I'm not surprised Peter Beales are selling up, saddened though, very much, but I had wondered how long they would hold on there.. the place has changed out of all recognition over the last few years, and very much for the better..
@Alfie_
Yes my 'Bienvenue' is doing very well, the blooms seem to last on the bush too.
As for 'Elizabeth'. that rose won't be here much longer, I shall be replacing with 'Silas Marner' my own root, where a single bloom has more scent than anything I got on 'Elizabeth'..
'Silas Marner' is a glorious rose I think, with continuous bloom, a sweet scent when right, and wonderful spring foliage.. a bit floppy..
..not going under, but selling up.. I must go there soon..
'Bring Me Sunshine'.. I find the darkest blooms have a tea scent, rather than myrrh.. 'Lilac Bouquet'.. start of 2nd flush.. short gap.. ..same for 'Amelie Nothomb'.. a rose I'm liking very much indeed.. 'Bienvenue'.. ..precision cutter bees..
.. a few other things.. Penstemon arabesque 'Apple Blossom'.. this was hardy for me.. ..arabesque 'Violet'.. I really like this arabesque series.. Spigelia marilandica.. quite striking..
I love these inspiring roses and rosarians! I am only on page 309 so need to catch up. I do have a question re pruning though. I mostly grow DA repeat-bloomers. Some flowered in June a little, some have not at all. Regarding those that have not flowered and do not show buds even now, would you advise pruning back in order to stimulate growth? I have added bagged manure with J.I no 3 compost and am feeding with liquid tomato feed weekly. Does anyone else prune these sorts of roses back after the first flush (I don't just mean dead-heading). Thank you in advance!
For some to not even be showing buds by the end of June is highly unusual! How are you roses looking generally? Do they have lots of strong, leafy growth or are they diseased and dropping yellowing leaves? If the former it’s possible you have overfed them with too much nitrogen-rich manure etc. to encourage leafy growth over blooming. If the latter, it could be moisture levels in your soil are very low and/or it’s been unusually hot - you may have not been giving them enough regular deep drinks to compensate.
I would not normally feed tomato food until after the first flush to encourage re-bloom but not at all if a rose is poorly.
As to pruning, a little light pruning to reduce height is fine. Plus, I often prune back individual long, wayward canes by up to half in summer. However, I would be more inclined to lay off the liquid feed, give them a proper slow-release rose food with micronutrients instead and water, water, water heavily to induce growth and blooms.
Thanks @Nollie, the leaves are green, some a bit tatty, because I did not prune my roses at all this winter-spring, as I was under the incorrect impression that at four or five years old, they were too young to be pruned. I did feed them with DA long lasting dry plant food this spring, but they were probably already on the 'wrong course'. Perhaps too much nitrogen got in to the soil. They were in pots until this week when I moved them to a flower bed and I was surprised how dry the soil was by the roots (but not higher up the pots). I did get a few roses from Gertrude Jekyll, Boscobel, Morning Mist and Tottering-by-Gently, but not the others. Thank you for your advice.
