Thank you @Oliya your front garden is lovely, I love when everything is growing into each other like that
@WAMS thank you! I think so 😆 added an extra 60ish cms to the depth this year and did a big shuffle of plants, it’s made a big difference
@Marlorena your bring me sunshine is beautiful, I hope mine is half as good as that! Should be enough to sell WAMS on it too 😆
My parents are on holiday and have insisted on buying me a plant, there’s not much I need and they didn’t have the heuchera I wanted, so I’m getting the first (of six) desdemona for the next bit of the garden, will get the rest bareroot.
..purple's, red's and pinks.. 'Wild Rover'.. a tall floribunda.. scented I think of cloves..
'Wilhelm'.. hybrid musk.. 'Othello'.. full of mildew all over it.. the pink on the outer petals is actually mildew.. ..a better bloom, but I'm not sure why anyone would want to grow this, when 'Gabriel Oak' is so much better.. ..the rather pretty old HT 'Mrs. E.G. Hill'..
'Sophie's Perpetual'.. impervious to heat so far.. seems rampant but a perfume factory...
Climbing Fragrant Cloud. Not all climbing sports are well scented as their parent plant but I find that this one is.
Wollerton Old Hall looking more yellow in the morning light. Lovely myrrh scent.
Viper's Bugloss with Damask and Portlands behind. I needed something to provide a bit of height in amongst the newly planted roses and a bit of colour contrast.
Don't grow up - grow sideways.
Gardening in the West Midlands on a mix of neutral loamy sand & Victorian building rubble.
'Belle de Jour' today, the blooms seem to have lost their orange tinge since the heatwave started, for now they are pure yellow but still lovely. Accompanied in the photo by 'Gertrude Jekyll, Nathalie Nypels, Ab Fab, and Thomas A Beckett, which is showing much better this year after putting it on a obelisk to counter the DA droop.
@Mr. Vine Eye question on your self made comfrey liquid manure: did you add water? I am not sure if I understood your description. Just harvested mine. Thank you.
I do love this Sparkle patio rose in bud, but why is it always the one covered in white fly. Plenty of other roses in the garden, Desdemona next door, but they hardly get any!
My perfect harmony was covered in whitefly earlier this week, but yesterday the sparrows were all over it, and it's looking much better now, so hope they find yours @purplerallim 🐦
I do love Viper's Bugloss, I just wish it lasted longer in the garden..
I find 'Bathsheba's opening blooms amongst the loveliest in the rose world.. 'Dir. Constantin Bernard'.. old HT.. 'Tottering by Gently'.. glowing in the sun.. 'Frilly Cuff'.. Geranium 'Eureka'.. Agastache 'Morello'.. Alonsoa 'Salmon Beauty'.. Geranium cambridge varieties..

Yes your 'Lark Ascending' is a better colour now.. I hope your Mum likes it too..
Standards are looking nice.. both you and @zugenie have done wonders in a short space of time I think..
@LateralBreaks
