Thank you @Marlorena. Would Blush Noisette be tall enough for my arch that had Malvern Hills on it? I've now seen that Chevy Chase doesn't have much scent and has lots of prickles. Think I need to visit Peter Beales.

I love "Open Arms". I planted it by the porch at OH's old cottage. Maybe I should find a place here. There are so many lovely roses for sale here that I would love to take back to my French garden. Blast Brexit!

Lovely @Marlorena. I may get one for my garden in France where she can grow against a fence and spread where she wants. I like the soft romantic look.

..thanks for the Chat info.. whilst I'm not a luddite, I don't think it's something I need right now, I prefer to find my own words, don't you..?

Your Reine des Violettes is very nice, a bit pink.. we usually see it as mauve/purple.. I've tried it twice before here, my late dog killed one and the other died on me for some unknown reason..   it should be thornless..

You have some nice roses we don't see over here..  good luck with your Dr. Jamain, it's not one I've ever tried I think..
I also have 'Lucky', and it's one I'm increasingly fond of..

Well, light evenings start now with the clocks going forward tonight... no idea about the rest of Europe on this..
