She asset stripped this country. so we now basically have private near monopolies controlling our electricity, water, gas ,and rail companies and water ( can anyone give me one single benefit to the domestic consumer from the sale of the water companies ? ) Bribed the masses by selling off council houses ( which have never been replaced due to HER policies). Stripped the countries manufacturing base to reshape us as a " service economy" basically centred on money. Introduced Section 28. Ignored the heads of the Armed Forces when they told her repeatedly " if you scrap the South Atlantic Patrol Fleet, Argentina WILL invade The Falklands" so SHE instigated the Falklands war. A personal friend of Chilean Dictator General Pinochet ( Pinochet was charged with 36 counts of kidnapping, 23 counts of torture, and one of murder for the torture ) And let's not forget she was the first sitting PM to be sacked by her own party. And she was given a State Funeral !!!!!

She did so only a few years before the EU asked its member states to do the same @Hostafan1 The EU called it competition and no country was allowed to have any state controlled water, electricity, gas, mail and rail service. Try to imagine what had happened if she hadn't done it but Blair/Cameron had to do it to follow the EU guidelines By chance, a family member used to work for Royal Mail and I'm familiar with that drama back then when the EU gave several warnings that Royal Mail has to give up either mail or packet service.
Morning everyone, we have ❄ snow, it's melting on the paths but settling on grass and borders. I have to chase up the windscreen people again, see curmudgeon thread if you want to know more. I could ask my wife to tell you a few things about MT, but in deference to her blood pressure I won't. I echo, previous comments. Even former PM Harold Macmillan criticised her heavily. In his maiden speech to the Lords he reminded her that the problem with selling off the family silver was that you could only do it once. I did an advanced Motorcycle course run by Surrey police, we were supposed to do a trip to a show, but there was a rumour it was cancelled due to localised snow on the day, after we had started out. We sat in a cafe awaiting a final decision and one of the police who was a keen photographer was showing pictures from the Miners strike. Some of the others were joking about how great it was to be paid loads of overtime to be sent up North to bash the miners! Changed my perspective of the police entirely, but all instigated by MT'S determination to smash Scargill. Mind you he was a communist determined to bring the government down, so it was the ultimate clash of ideologies.
We have snow! It’s not too bad here and just sleet now, but further up the valley is another world - with roads and schools closed etc. The garden looks so pretty but I always hate the snow because of the difficulties it brings with it re travel and making sure the hospital staff can attend work. We made some plans yesterday and I haven’t needed to go in on my day off 🤞🏼

I ♥ my garden.
Heavy snow here, but only for the day apparently.
Have a good day, don't give space in your head to the milk snatcher.
Take care in the ice/snow.
