Afternoon all, our snow has vanished thank goodness as we have had occasional heavy rain showers instead. Met my friend at the GC for coffee, cake and a natter, haven't been out for what seems like ages. The GC refunded the full price of the bulbs (25 Iris ret. 'Harmony') bought from them back in Oct 22 as they just didn't grow at all. First time that's ever happened to me.  I had no receipt but luckily they accepted the entry in my garden diary I'd taken with me as proof.

I'm looking forward to our garden club talk tonight on David Austin roses, should be interesting.

    Enjoy the theatre tonight @didyw.

@WonkyWomble I think it was @coccinella who was going to that Festival not me. I hope she enjoys it, sounds like a good line up for artists.
Sorry to hear that the weather has upset your work schedule, hope it will be improved for you tomorrow. Will you be able to visit your brother before too long?

Oh sorry @AnnaB I must have read the posts too quickly and got them jumbled! 🤣 It was actually really nice to have a rare day off in the house on my own, if there's anyone else here I just end up looking after people!

I think it's going to be a while before I can see my brother but I'm just happy to hear he's making such good progress, thanks for asking.

I hope your managing to keep warm. It's very wet here but no settling snow yet thankfully! My eldest cat got under the covers with me last night! Sweet but not a recipe for a good night's sleep!

Hi Wonky. It’s only 15c in the house this morning, so I’m snuggled on the lounge watching the TV. I can’t get used to the crazy weather changes we are having.  Glad Rob is starting to improve. You’ll be glad to catch up with him when you’re allowed in.

    Good morning Forkers

grey and wet here, much warmer. I have no plans for today except cooking and get ready for tonite outing! I would go to many more festivals @WonkyWomble if I could! My first festival was in 1985 at Trowbridge in Somerset. Ach! those were the days!

I wish you all a good day.

Hello @Pat E I think I'd prefer your weather to ours at the moment but then us Brits always complain about the weather no matter what!!
I hope you have a fantastic time at the festival's @coccinella

    Hi all
Scene of devastation here, don’t think I have seen worse snow in the 30 years we have lived here. We have a 40 foot Acer most of which is now on the ground, plus several other large shrubs and trees now flat on the ground.
Not sure I can face walking to see the g/h.

    Morning all.
Crikey @punkdoc! I hope it isn't all broken and it pops up again when the snow has gone.

    Wet and windy here.

I need to pop out to the surgery with OH's repeat prescription so I'll go to Sainsbugs. Forgot the loo rolls and shampoo when I last went out.
